This outlet is attached to a heat lamp in my well house. Tonight it worked fine as the temp is headed towards the mid twenties. Great value for the money.
- Dave SmithGlow not brightThis items appears to work. It activates and shuts off around the correct temperature. It’s installed outside under the eaves of a house to control heating tape. The only negative comment is the glow light is hard to see. You almost have to be on the item to see the light. Another brand I have the whole whole plug lights up when in use. I would recommend this item.

Checked out ok when initially installed - but after six weeks of use on a very light resistive load (~3OOW) the controller completely failed in off position. So be careful if you’re using to provide heat protection. There’s a HIGH RISK of losing protection.

- ahowhowawesome hidden feature!Exactly what i needed for the heat lamps that warm my well house on freezing nights. Those heaters usually hold the temp at 20 degrees above outside temp. My first thought was "crap! when it warms up to 50, this outlet will cut the power, and it will get cold in there again." But NO, this outlet makes it a CYCLING system at temps close to freezing. When it cools down to 38 again, the power comes back on, so the lamps don't have to run all night during a light freeze!
