Its combination of good image quality, ease of use, and affordability makes it a stellar choice for budding astronomers of all ages. - AaronExcellent beginner/novice telescope on a budgetAs a beginner to stargazing, I am very impressed and happy with this first-time friendly beginner telescope. Set up was very straightforward and it was easy for me to assemble and start using even though I have never had one of my own before.
The telescope itself is perfect for a beginner, but also if you already have experience, you should be able to easily set up and use it yourself. I was able to see the moon and some of the craters in fairly good detail, although I was not able to find Jupiter or Saturn which is ok because I personally only purchased this to try and look at stars and the moon. My understanding is I can actually use this during the day as well for example, if I wanted to look at animals in the distance or maybe some landscape such as mountain ranges however I have yet to find time to use it for those purposes.
The tripod that this came with is of very high-quality and material in my opinion. It is made of stainless steel and is very sturdy and keeps the telescope solid and grounded. The fit and finish of the overall entire telescope and tripod combo I would say is competitive to some of the higher priced options and priced well.
Overall, I’m giving this telescope 5 out of 5 stars because it is priced within my very small budget and works very well for someone who is just getting started just like myself and as my children get older, I know that this telescope is going to be a great experience for them as well. I can also picture myself giving these as gifts to my nieces and nephews this holiday season.
