  • The literary version of curling up with a warm latte on a crisp fall day
    Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
    Spice: ????️ ????️ 2.5

This book was the literary version of curling up with a warm latte on a crisp fall day. The setting was so charming I wanted to pack my bags and move straight into the little town. The banter was cute and lighthearted, with just the right touch of humor to keep me smiling.

The romance was sweet with a sprinkle of spice (2.5 ????️ — enough to warm you up without burning your tongue). The leads had good chemistry, and while some parts felt a little predictable, it worked in that comforting, Hallmark-but-with-extra-flavor way.

Overall, it’s a fun, seasonal read that gave me all the cozy fall vibes. Perfect for pumpkin spice lovers, small town romance fans, and anyone who enjoys a little sweetness mixed with sass.
  • Cozy vibes, middle-of-the-road read for me ????
Pumpkin Spice Café is pure autumn aesthetic in book form. The hardcover is gorgeous. Think of it as small town charm, pumpkin spice lattes, a cozy café, and a grumpy farmer hero, Logan, who wants nothing to do with the new girl in town, Jeanie. This book gave off total Hallmark autumn vibes overall.

That said, this one didn’t fully live up to the massive hype for me. I did love The 5th book in the series which is the one I read before this one, The Gingerbread Bakery though.

The pacing for this one felt a little slow in spots, and I never completely connected with Jeanie and Logan’s romance the way I wanted to. I skimmed through most of the book if I’m being honest.

The grumpy x sunshine dynamic is cute on paper, but sometimes the tension felt more repetitive than deep, and a few of the spicy moments didn’t quite match the otherwise super cozy tone. I also wanted a bit more development in their emotional arc so the HEA would hit harder.

Overall, Pumpkin Spice Café was a cute, comfy fall read with great seasonal vibes and a charming setting, but it landed as a solid 3-star read for me rather than a new favorite. Perfect if you’re in the mood for something light, cozy, and pumpkin-spiced, even if it didn’t completely sweep me away.
  • The perfect cozy fall read!!
"He loved how early it got dark, how high and hot the bonfire grew, how the whole night felt cozy and spooky at once."

I’ve been saving this book for fall, and honestly, it was worth every second of the wait. I absolutely loved it. From the charming small town vibes to the adorable grumpy vs sunshine banter, everything about this story felt cozy and comforting. I can never say no to a good slow burn and this one definitely delivered!! Even the side characters added so much personality. They really completed the whole experience.

The characters felt authentic, each bringing something meaningful to the story. Logan is still working through the hurt of his past relationship, while Jeanie is rebuilding her life after a traumatic experience at work, searching for peace and a fresh start. These two MCs are completely adorable, and I could read about them forever.

If you love small-town romance with heart, warmth, and lovable characters, this is such a perfect pick! I can't wait to read the other books in this series!! ????

This book edition is just so pretty!!
  • Cute and Cozy
Pumpkin Spice Café started off a little slow for me, but once I got a few chapters in, I was hooked. The cozy small-town setting and warm fall vibes was perfect for the season. I ended up loving the sweet, slow-burn romance. This is such a comforting read, lighthearted, and full of charm. Definitely a great pick if you’re in the mood for something cozy and heartwarming.
  • My FOMO made me read it. It was ok over all
I had some real FOMO about this book. I have seen it everywhere and I had to get my hands on it.

It’s about Jeanie who has recently left her high stress job in Boston to take over a small town cafe given to her by her Aunt. During the day the town seems to be full of normal small town activities and people that spread gossip flys like wild fire. There have been strange sounds at night and odd things happening inside the cafe. This has led Jeanie to believe the cafe is haunted. Luckily for her, the very handsome, very strong, very single farmer Logan has enlisted to help her solve the case. And even more luckily it requires a sleepover…. I mean a stakeout. All while she is trying to figure out her new life as a first time business owner and where she fits in this small town.

I liked this book. It’s a very quick read, with likable characters. I wish a few of the characters had more of a role they were mainly foot notes. But I also understand the whole book takes place in a month or two so I get the MFC not having a ton of information on a lot of the town in that time. There could have been at least another 50 pages easy to this with getting to know some main character events that seemed important enough to cause the plot but were kinda rushed though. This was a super simple, surface level story with pretty one dimensional characters. It’s a fun read but dont go in expecting this elaborate character development and love story to unfold haha there are just a lot of really cute moments. Over all not a bad read if you love seasonal theme books.
