- RaeIron Flask Insulated MugLove my insulated mug! I primarily use it for water purposes. It keeps my water (without ice) cold for hours. It’s a sturdy mug and the color is vibrant. I’ve turned the mug over a few times and it does not leak. Easy to clean. It’s high quality and it came with 2 straws and 2 different lids. Don’t hesitate, buy it now.
- JenGet it! Better than some other tumblers I've used- including a YetiAMAZING CUP!!!! With ice, my drinks stay cold at least 24 hrs- I have the rings of ice for inside large tumblers and the biggest is almost always still in there the next night when I refresh it. Without ice but with cold drinks, 12-14 hours still cold, by 24 it's still cold, but not like it was fresh. Don't know about hot liquids yet since I mainly use it for work to drink water, but also use it out and about to. I've gotten lots of compliments on the color, and have told people where to find it. It has also lasted longer than other brand cups I have had when accidently dropped. It finally got tested last week when it fell from about 5' high and hit the hard floor. The only damage I saw was a small dent, but it didn't spill water everywhere, I use the straw style lid. It wasn't until I refilled it last night before work I noticed the lid was cracked and it wasn't closing the normal way. I reached out to their customer service and they are taking care of it and are absolutely amazing. All in all, it feels great in your hand and fits in the cup holder in your vehicle, and keeps your drinks cold if you prefer ice cold drinks!
- ErikaGreat for workLove this iron flask tumbler, keeps my drinks cold for hours, not super heavy or bulky. Easy to clean and great colors. Will buy another one!
- Kindle CustomerThese thermal cups are fabulous! This is my second purchase. I also have a green one. I love them. I take them to work with me everyday. I plan on using them for years to come. I want to get another one in another color. I soak the lids in denture tabs because the rubber around the straw area does not come out to be cleaned or I soak them in bleach. That is the only thing that I do not love about these cups. Everything else is exceptional. Easy to clean. They come with 2 straws and two different types of lids but I particularly use the one with the straw in it. I fill them with ice at work on a Friday and I still have ice in them when I go back to work on a Sunday night. That's how great they are at keeping your beverages cold.
- Sue BGood for regular use.I got this to help keep my Mom hydrated. It keeps things cold for a long time. Easy to use and drink from. Has been knocked over by unsteady hands. The straw lid does leak when tipped over. The flip lid broke when it fell over. I was hoping the color would be brighter than it turned out to be. The purple one is very nice. The blue one is blander and darker. Not really a dark teal on the screen. I have other iron flask bottles that work really well, and don't leak. I like that they come with a variety of lids too. Very economical for the purchaser. This is a good contender for other popular brands, but I don't like that the straw lid leaks.
- Shawna LanneDaily Use for Over a Year: Airtight & Ice ColdIm getting ready to send another link to this cup out when I noticed it's a frequently returned item. I'm not sure why. Ive used it near every day for over a year now and I've had no problems. It is leaking proof, trust me I've dropped and knocked it over a lot, sturdy - see above - and will keep my drinks cold and the ice solid drinkable overnight and into the next.
- Ms. TIt does what it says its able to doIt kept ice for over 24hrs! I do wish it came with a carrier pouch, straw caps and cleaner brush???? But other than that I'm in love ???? with it and will not be returning it. It's also very attractive too????
- M. WongThe feeling of “I found a better mug, but due to other reasons, I’ll have to settle for this.”I bought this mug to replace a 50 oz Reduce mug I had used for almost 6 years. The reason was just because I was tired of dealing with the plastic bands that are part of the handle.
I prefer the wider, not-so-tall size of the Reduce mug, but I was willing to give this a try.
Does it keep iced soda as cold and for as long as the Reduce mug? I don’t know, I haven’t tested how long it lasts, but it at least lasts long enough for my actual usage. So it’s fine.
The handle is a little thinner than the other mug, but it seems enough for me to “just get used to it.” So far, it doesn’t seem uncomfortable.
The black coating does look nice, but it’s already getting scratched by a plastic cup holder. So that is pretty disappointing.
But worst part is the lid.
Having used Bubba Kegs in the past, I’ve since grown to hate flip top lids. It’s a nightmare to clean around the hinge (where the flip top meets the lid). Sure, maybe you can get to the visible parts with a brush or a toothpick, but the not-so-visible part requires you to remove the flip portion to clean inside where the hing sits. I was able to bend the lid for the Bubba Kegs to pop out those pieces, but the Iron Flask lids doesn’t appear to allow it.
While I understand the flip top needs to be snug to avoid popping open and spewing the liquid all over the place if the mug falls over, it’s far too snug for me to open with one hand while I’m trying to drive. The only option there is to leave it partially or completely open, which defeats the whole “leakproof” objective.
Compared to the generic lids I have for the Reduce mug, either the opening or the vents are smaller. This means it pours more slowly and takes longer for me to get a decent “gulp” done. Not a big deal at home, but a different story when I’m doing delivery work. I’d rather finish drinking sooner than later.
Similarly, due to the design on the inside, it catches my fake ice (balls of plastic with freezable liquid inside) too easily, which then blocks the flow… slowing it down even more.
I had attempted to reuse the generic magnetic lid from the older mug, but it’s a press in friction type, not twist on. While I could insert the lid with minimal effort, trying to remove it was a different story. My hands are still sore from the effort.
I found, ordered and received a mug that is the same size as the Reduce mug, just without the plastic band. The problem is that I’ve also been going through multiple expandable cup holders for my car to hold a 50 oz mug. The third one, which was ordered as the same time as that new mug is the shortest, allows the mug to sit the lowest and the top doesn’t wobble like the other two. But it doesn’t fit the newest mug. Holder expands to 4.8” while the mug is 5”. Seems like such a small difference, but while I can get the mug past the top of the arms, it won’t sit flat and the arms are bending quite a bit. Since they’re plastic, they’ll eventually break if I force it.
So then, there’s why I have to settle for this Iron Flask mug… cause it’s the only one that fits the cup holder.
Maybe if the folks that made this mug are reading this, how about a lid that fits (twist on), but uses the magnetic sliding stopper? Easier to clean, easier to use and fits.
