- Sara WatermanIt will pull you in ????????Is an intriguing series. Not boring and no foul language. The storyline will pull you in and the fashion from that period is amazing.
- Sophia RedmilesExperiencing a past we did not live in.This is my new favorite series. Exquisite costumes, outstanding actors, complicated characterers, realistic portrayal of the time period. Magnificent. Another one we owe to Julian Fellows, who is brilliant with period dramas.

- B-DogAbsolutely lavishIf you like period drama, this series is a must see with all the beautiful interiors and lavish fashion showing the story of the beginning of innovation and new ideas for the culture of the day and the families that delt with the ups and downs of their struggles to get there.

- Bruce MorrowGilded Age Season III: Bare bones DVD of a fabulous HBO series. My wife and I adore this series, and are delighted that the third season is available on DVD. I rate it five stars for the quality of the show itself. The DVD presentation, however, is about as bare bones as you can get: No individual chapters (only one per programme); no two-sided artwork; no bonuses at all. **Correction to my initial review**: I had initially reported that these were manufactured DVDs--they are actually DVD-R format, something I didn't notice until I held them up to a bright light. However, we finished watching the series last night and there were no playback issues (the subtitles worked fine as well). Alas, in this age of streaming, this is what it has come to for those of us who like owning a physical copy.
