- SuehWonderful video, easy to follow.I had just started taking Tai Chi classes when I decided to buy this video so I could catch up to the class that already knew the Yang 24. Master Pei has a soothing voice, goes very slowly, then repeats the move several times. Each of the 8 lessons covers all 24 moves in Yang style. So you might learn 2-3 moves in the lesson. At the end of the lesson he puts those 2-3 moves together. Practicing at home with this DVD has made it easier to learn, as some of the forms have multiple parts, but Master Pei breaks them down into small sections to learn a little at a time.
I've also learned Qigong 8 brocades. The Qigong DVD has a couple of different movements from the Qigong I learned, but there are many Qigong movements, and they are all wonderful.
He is facing front on the TaiChi video. Would love to see a back view option. There is a back view option on the Qigong DVD. - K. Brad LoweryGreat video for those beginners of Tai Chi. Includes videos of Qi Gong.Bought this video to help me as just started to renew my interest in Tai Chi. This is a good video for those who want to learn the Yang style 24 posture Tai Chi. The instructor is very knowledgeable. In addition, instructor goes through the steps slowly and repeatedly, which I think is the best way to learn Tai Chi. Years ago I had practiced the 108 posture form Tai Chi. If you desire to learn 108 posture, this is a good video to help you with the first 24 postures.

- Mighty MouseGreat Start for Any Age (Even Seniors!)I NEVER thought I'd be the type to try something like this! But, with knee and ankle issues starting to creep painfully into my life, I researched online videos and chose Christopher Pei's 2DVD set to address them. And I am VERY PLEASED with these DVDs. That an expert who coaches and judges competitions would do a beginner DVD, proves his conviction of the benefits of Tai Chi, and as a teacher he is remarkable. Watching his intro the first time, I questioned whether the lessons could deliver what he claimed, but after doing the warm ups and a few lessons according to his instructions, I am convinced they will help me in ways that go well beyond my reasons for purchase. Obviously, I have a long way to go on my form, but the instructions are excellent about how to perfect it to prevent injury and maximize the benefit Tai Chi can provide. And the exercises alone made me feel so much better generally. So I will be trying to make this a daily routine. (Christopher Pei, if you ever see this, THANK YOU!)

- Yvonne NeilsonVery detailedTai Chi is NOT for people who want a heart pumping, weight lifting cardio workout. But it IS a workout! I’ve tried to learn it many times over the years (I actually have a black belt in another form of martial art) and gave up for various reasons. Recently I took a class from my acupuncturist and it was excellent, but we agreed to stop because I was his only student! I like Chris Pei’s instruction; he is very thorough and points out common beginner errors. You have to be patient and willing to go slowly and master each step. His diction is good and there are subtitles. The background scenery is beautiful and soothing. You can learn one move, then the next day choose the next move from the menu. The final menu option is the full form, to be followed after you feel confident. If I have one complaint, it is that the moves are NOT mirror image. That’s strange, because the exercises on the Qi Gong dvd are all mirror image. I really love that DVD!
