- Eric JeffordsTakin' Me BackAfter nearly fifty years since their debut album, it's astounding to hear that Robin's voice hasn't lost a thing. This new batch of songs sounds like it could have been recorded during their classic period in the late 70's. This album contains all of the high energy, hard rocking, zany, wonderful hooks you would expect from a Cheap Trick record, reminding the listener why they are one of, if not the greatest, bands of all time.
- AndySecond best Fab Four do it again!Another incredible album by Rockford’s finest! Robin really is the man of a thousand voices! The songs are top notch and the hooks never stop! But still miss Bun! Catch them live!
- RobertCheap Trick is far from "All Washed Up"What a great release from this iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band this late in their career. With other older bands just doing the oldies circuit with no new music, Cheap Trick are one of the few bands that continue to amaze us. All Washed Up is totally energized and is amazing from the first song to the last. The last song Wham Boom Bang in particular is a total surprise in the likes that they have never done before. Reminds me of their 1st album going on all cylinders. The few slower ballads are top notch. The Beatles have always been in their wheelhouse and it shows. The writing and musicianship on All Washed Up is at the top of the band's game. Due yourself a favor and buy this release. You will not be disappointed.
- king-beeAnother great recordGreat album by a great band. How Robin Zander sounds as good as did on their first album is amazing. This is one artist that doesn’t have to mime to backing tracks ( Kiss , Motley Crue) or whose voice is shot (Axl Rose). How this band isn’t in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a tragedy.
- Kindle CustomerShipped" Laundry Detergent" that is Great! Love It!Amazon says, Shipped"Laundry Detergent" that is Great! Love Cheap Trick, they are pro's. Seen them twice in concert. They sound great live. And Rick's son is a hellava drummer too. Great CD worth it for sure.
- David KarchNot Washed Up YetReally enjoying this CD. To be in your 70s churning out rock N roll for 50 years is incredible. All Washed Up is hardly a washed up band
- Phil Baker (music man)CHEAP TRICK - All Washed UpJust Classic Cheap Trick. This band just continues to release absolutely incredible music. This album has it all. Fantastic song writing and the classic riffs that we all love. Thank you guys for 50 great years and I hope there are many more for this amazing band.
- Flying VGreat songs - very poor mix & masteringCheap Trick’s 21st album, I think, is absolutely excellent from the standpoint of the fact that it contains stellar songs that, once again, gloriously channel their classic period. Robin Zander’s voice is seemingly timeless and inexhaustible and the entire band sounds inspired, vibrant, and still absolutely relevant after 5 decades of doing this. The issue is the “full on” brickwalled sound that has no separation between instruments, no air to breathe, vocals that sometimes sound buried in the mix or recorded in an empty washing machine, guitars that sound like a wall of noise as opposed to crisp, clean riffs etc…you get the picture. Evidently, the loudness wars are still not over as the first thing I had to do when I queued this up was turn it down. Everyone has choices where to spend their money and therefore have a purchased right to judge the product they just bought. It’s a real shame as I adore Cheap Trick’s musical stylings and “All Washed Up” could have been one of their very best albums. Here’s a thought, bring Jack Douglas back into the fold. “5” stars for the songs, “1” star for the mix & mastering, “2 1/2” stars overall. My ears hurt…sad to say.
