  • What to say!
Well let's begin. This album is a masterpiece! Glen danzigs best album out of all of them! Just a raw classic rock sound. The mix and dynamics of this album is 5 stars! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
  • This is exactly what you want it to be.
If you're like me, you've been waiting years for this album to get a good re-release on vinyl. It finally happened and it did not disappoint.

We all know that this is a phenomenal and essential album in the world of hard rock/Metal and even Blues. It is raw and minimalistic yet incredibly well produced. Every individual element comes together as a whole but also stands on its own sonically. Bluesy and punk vibes throughout, would make any Elvis and/or Misfits fan happy. I have loved this album for years and hearing it on vinyl is great. On the track End of Time, when the bells come in, it still puts a smile on my face and I still make the appropriate Bell hand gesture while singing along.

The vinyl pressing is by American records and it's a good one. They are the same company that pressed the most (if not all) of my Slayer albums. Unlike other pressings from companies like Cleopatra, American records can usually be trusted for a good pressing. The album is standard weight not 180g but nothing to sneeze at. It's solid, it plays well and as far as I can tell it was genuinely ripped from the master (not a remaster).
  • Danzig
This reprint is amazing! So glad to have it on vinyl. I’ve re-submerged myself in all things Danzig recently, I saw the reprints of 1-4p and got them all. I have no regrets, but my wife likely does.
  • Their first was their best
Although Danzig experimented with their sound throughout their career, they were never better than on their debut album. This has stood the test of time quite nicely. You still hear "Mother" and "Twist of Cain" frequently on the heavier radio stations and sometimes even "Am I Demon?" and there's a reason why. They had great simple memorable riffs and Glenn had the Elvis from Hell shtick down. All of the songs here are very good and the aforementioned "Mother" would actually be a big hit six years later at the height of grunge when featured on the EP Demonsweatlive. "She Rides" would become a legendary song in the strip clubs while "Not of this World" and "Evil Thing" had killer guitar lines that attracted fans of both punk and heavy metal. The songs "Soul on Fire", "Possession", and "End of Time" were more dramatic and were just as impressive. And what other band of the genre could take blues legend Albert King's "The Hunter" and nearly make it their own? I stopped listening to this kind of music on a regular basis about 20 years ago. But I can still listen to this and get into it.
  • Jim Morrison Reborn
Danzigs 1st album. Glenn Danzig sounds hauntingly just like Jim Morrison of the doors and makes you think of what you may have heard from Morrison had he went alittle heavier than what he did with the Doors. Danzig's 1st release is heavy without getting fast and hard. Danzig himself is on the edge of darkness singing of the evil side of man which may turn off many in music and leaving many not daring to venture into his style. On the other hand it gained him his own legend of fans into his angry and dark style of rock music.

Admittingly I was one of those who just didnt want to go down that road. I like my rock and roll to reflect on a good time.

But Ill say this, you can take Danzig S/T give it a listen and appreciate that it is in fact a good album. After finally listening to it at someone elses request I was bitten by the music, the basic ground roots of rock n roll slow heavy rock together with Danzigs Morrison like vocals. Yes this is a good cultish album and I had to have it in my collection. The way I listen to it is pretty much the way I view my life and the life of all mankind. We all have alittle Twist of Cain in us its just that some of us overcome while others subcome. It reminds me of the choices we have in life and that every day we fight a battle of good vs evil.

I enjoy it. Danzig went on to a harder darker style and in my opinion missed a chance to be bigger. His loss for that fact but again I would say that the album is worth a listen and you might enjoy its talent within, the choice is up to you. Im going to keep my copy and will listen to it again every so often.
  • I love this cd
    I love this cd
  • Not a bad deal!
Classic album from an over-looked band! The Misfits were one of the most influential punk bands of all time, but, Danzig was good step forward.
  • Una joya del heavy rock de los 80's
    Excelente álbum, un verdadero clásico.
