  • Impressive for its size
I bought this with zero expectation of quality sound, it got me by surprise how clean and loud it can get with a 9v battery, specially if you use active EMG pickups with the overdrive on you are on for a treat. I plugged a Boss GT-1000 to it and it still holds the tone amazingly. Great for the price
  • Sleeping little beast
On its own the Marshall ms2 doesn’t sound all that good. But put a boss metal zone pedal through it and it becomes a little beast of an amp. Battery lasts about five days of operation playing about three hours a day. It’s a high gain amp that needs a distortion pedal to sound good. Not very great at clean sounds as it breaks up as you turn up the volume. I love these little ms2s.
  • Simply Awesome
I can’t use my tube amps due to meth addicts loitering in my neighborhood. The MS-2 lets me play discreetly.

The basic tone is Marshall all of the way. The clean channel does not have a lot of headroom, but I like it that way. The distort is akin to a JCM2000 on amber channel. It is very responsive to the volume control on the guitar. I will not judge its bass for its 3 inch speaker. It seems to sound best with single coils based on AB testing it on my split coil PRS McCarty. My 62 reissue Strat sounds great too.

For what it is, excellent value and great choice for beginners to experienced players

If you are a beginner, this is much better than what I stared with. Do not expect it to be a 100watt full Marshall stack

    It’s awesome though
  • Works pretty well with an acoustic guitar too.
I bought this little unit after returning a defective Danelectro Honey Tone micro amp. I play acoustic guitar in a duo with my wife on vocals and I play fingerstyle with no nails so the output is very quiet. We want to do some busking and I was afraid that without a little bit of something people would not be able to hear me. The places we play forbid amplification (like big amps) but I'm hoping this little battery one will get a pass. This unit only gets loud enough to make me about as loud as a strumming guitar player with a pick. I works fairly well. With the volume cranked all the way up and the tone about 3/4's the way up I get a decent amount of added volume, enough to make it worth while. I wanted to post this here as there weren't many people with feedback about using it for an acoustic. I did not try the overdrive channel as, well, it's an acoustic. But if you just need a little bit of volume, this will work. A little pricey compared to the Danelectro Honey Tone but after that one came in broken I figured I'd give this one a try. It certainly looks cool with the little Marshall thing going on. I made a short video and will try to post it here from my phone when I figure out how.
  • Great Gift For A Guitarist
This was purchased as a gift from my guitar playing son. He loves it. He uses it when he travels and still wants to be able to plug in his electric to work on his playing or music he's writing. It is so compact and puts out a surprising clean loud sound for its size. Very easy to carry around and doesn't take hardly any packing space. This is not a full size amp - don't expect full size sound and conveniences. It's useful for practice, when you can't or don't want to make a lot of loud sound. This was probably the best gift dad and I could have given him on the budget we were on. This was a 2017 Christmas gift. He's had no problems with it at all. He highly recommends this.
  • Amazing little amp
I got this for my husband for Christmas. I ended up having to give it to him early to make sure it worked due to the packaging it was shipped in...which I don't believe is the sellers fault. Definitely recommend this amp not only for the price but also the sound an quality.
  • Dont bother
It is no where near as loud as the "Demo" video and it is no where near as clean sounding. The Distortion is absolutely awful dont waste your money get an actual decent amp. Also the box was dented and coming apart. The so called "Help Center" is an absolute joke don't even bother its no where near $50, in hindsight I would have rather kept my money.
  • good....until
Well it was great until the input jack fell in the amplifier. I got it back out. Then it wouldn't turn on again. I changed the battery. Still no signal. I took it in to the shop and they couldn't do anything. I would recommend the micro orange amp.
