I did not install the little ledge for holding markers because the markers are magnetic and I wanted to be able to carry the board around, so I kept it streamlined. Also, I purchased some magnetic accessories for organization, and small magnets that resemble push pins which are easy to grab and stronger than the disk magnets that come with the board, which work ok, but they're larger and weaker. It's easily customizable. It's portable, sturdy, and also can hang on wall. It's what I wanted, so hooray!
