Let me skip ahead and say right away that this binder does its main job: keeping things organized and sorting materials. But there are a few hidden drawbacks. The binder is white, so it can easily get stained or dirty, especially if you frequently take it on and off a shelf where other binders are stored. While it is made of a material that shouldn't get too dirty, there’s one major flaw that bothers me, which is the cover. The synthetic leather, or whatever material it is, doesn’t lay smoothly on the cardboard base. It ripples and bubbles slightly, as if it were cut just a bit off-size. This might seem like a minor detail, but for some reason, it really bothers me. And since it's part of the Amazon Basics line, which is meant to offer solid basics at an affordable price, I expected at least a certain level of quality in its construction.
Now that I’ve shared my thoughts on the cover, let’s talk about the other essential element—the rings. The rings close tightly with no gaps, so there’s no need to worry about paper slipping out. However, I found the ring mechanism to be a bit stiffer than I’d like. Both opening and closing the rings require noticeable effort. Perhaps they’ll loosen up with time, but I’m not entirely sure about that.
