- Jesse M.Not sure why it reads as bromine in addition to chlorine on test stripsThis does work well but my stips always read high on bromine as well as chlorine after use.
- Barbara BrunsonQuality and no surprisesVery good product. Been using it for years.
- beatrice dellepianeThis product is an absolute game-changer for anyone struggling with a green hot tub!A Lifesaver for a Green Hot Tub!
I was ready to give up on my hot tub. The water had a stubborn green tint that wouldn't go away, no matter what I tried. I used several different products, including a shock treatment, but nothing seemed to make a difference. It was incredibly frustrating, and I was beginning to think I'd need to drain and refill the whole thing.
As a last resort, I did some more research and came across Leisure Time E56 Spa 56 Chlorinating Granules. I received it this morning, and with nothing to lose, I added about 4 ounces for a chlorine shock. I checked on the hot tub two hours later after running it, and I was absolutely stunned. The water was perfectly clear!
The results were truly amazing and fast. I'll still have to do a little cleaning to get the scum off the sides of the tub, but the main issue is completely resolved. This product saved my hot tub and my sanity. If you're struggling with green or cloudy water, I highly recommend giving this a try before you throw in the towel. It's an absolute game-changer! - Matt L.Works great for our spa/hot tubWe've been using this and the Renew product to maintain our Hot Tub's. We got turned on to this brand when we purchased our first home in 2013 and it came with a hot tub, we've since sold that home (and hot tub) and at our newer home, purchased a new hot tub and have used these chemicals exclusively (and not accepting the chemicals from the Spa retailer at purchase. They are very easy to use, generally speaking for our 450-500g hot tubs, we'd use a scoop full about once a week, alternating them. The hot tub is really only used by one person, 2-3 times a week. With less usage we lower the frequency of adding chemicals, more usage, we'll add more. This is very much a "feel" way of managing the levels, but checking levels with the test strips, it's been almost flawless. When we expect the FC to be low, it usually it, and it's never too high. This obviously doesn't work on a public use or heavy use (rental properties, etc.) but for private residence with one, or occasionally two users and generally speaking low overall use, this method works great.
These products are easy on my skin and haven't caused any irritation/itchiness. Another private pool I use on a regular basis usually irritates my skin and it's levels are "normal" for FC, but it's a different brand of chemicals. Definitely a fan of the Spa56 and Renew products made by Leisure Time.
