- That personAll set for the winter nowI'm hoping this 50 pound bag will last me through the winter. It works very well, spreads very easily and so far hasn't clumped together. It definitely keeps ice from forming overnight and keeps my steps and sidewalk safe. Great price for the size of the bag too. Especially considering the cost of the stuff from Walmart.

Doesn’t hurt my pups paws if she steps on it. Works fast and well. Love that it’s a good value and I’m not only keeping my pup safe but any other that walk on my sidewalk.
- SiR CueWorks well for small to mid storms.I live in NJ where we get a lot of snow for the winter months and I spread this before a storm and it works very well. If it’s a small storm this melts the snow before it could build up. However, if it’s a heavy storm it struggles to melt the snow. Once thing I don’t like is that if you kept it stored for the next year, it clumps up bad and hard to break it up. If you use it for the same season you shouldn’t have a problem.
- sandcastleExcellent in cold, windy weatherI have been using this ice melt for a couple of years and have found that it works great on my driveway, steps and sidewalk. It hasn't mattered if it was cold, snowing or blowing. It melted what was there and kept it clear for a reasonable amount of time (weather permitting). Color makes it easy to see where you placed it and the size is large enough to not just disappear, but also small enough to spread very well.

I’ve been using this brand for several years and it consistently does the job well. I usually buy the 25‑pound bag, but this year I upgraded to the 50‑pound size and found it to be a great value. I store it in a sealed 5‑gallon bucket in my garage, which keeps it dry and ready to use. Reliable product that I highly recommend!
- CitizenChampionA terribly effective ProductThere is a story about the Snow Melt product. The original order that I had placed was for 7 50LB bags of the Snow Melt. As a result, I could only account for 6 of the 7 50-lb bags ordered, which subsequently prompted a call to the Snow Joe Ice Melt people. I did talk to customer service and was taken seriously. The missing bag of the Snow Melt was lost by a common carrier who was responsible for the apparent mishandling and subsequent short which the call to Customer Service served to advise. I was glad to have talked to the Snow Melt people as I was to be sent the claim of a lost and unaccounted bag of the Snow Melt product. The replaced bag arrived within a reasonable period with a further note. This is an excellent product. a short while after some chilly weather set in, ice and some slick services needed attention, indeed I used two of the bags of the Snow Melt product with any ice or any challenging buildup treated judiciously. The buildup of ice and some coating of snow was very effectively removed by the Snow Joe Ice Melt. This did not take any extended period either, it was very effective and went to work as soon as it hit the ground. I was impressed with the Snow Joe Ice Melt and as well I will extend a care as to the Customer Service. I respected the ability of the Snow Joe Ice Melt people to provide a care and courteous consideration. There is no question as to both issues of integrity and a product as effective as the Snow Joe Ice Melt has proven to be.
