I thought they were electric or something cuz they had the remote control but be prepared to put them all together with all the batteries besides that the quality of the pink candles is good and they're pretty when lit

Candles glow in a way that mimics real flame and the wax adds to the realism. We just used the on/off switch at the bottom of the candles but the remote control worked when I tried it. EVERY SINGLE CANDLE purchased lit up -- no duds. My family is repurposing them for holiday decor. I bought them with the suggested candle holders (Candlestick Holders 6 PCS Metal Taper Candle Holders, KSWING) and they fit very well and straight without leaning.
