Note that you will need to purchase a subscription if you want the camera to identify different bird species (this is not included in the price of the product itself). I was a bit concerned about how much bird seed comes out (my mom was filling it every single day, or almost every day). But the company reached out to me directly to provide some possible solutions. It is RARE for a company to do that now days (and really care about making sure you love their product). We're going to try larger bird seed to see if that helps. Great product and fabulous customer service.

Once you figure out what your local birds like they are attracted to the feeder.
This perch was a great add on. It opened up the possibilities of what we could feed our new feathered friends. With the perch out of the box we were limited to just what was in the feeder and with the mix of food that has in there it seemed to only attract a male and female cardinal. Once we swapped out the perch for this we were able to add more assortments of food like fresh fruit and peanuts, almost over night the different species of birds visiting the feeder multiplied. It's so exciting when we get a notification of a new species.
We enjoy our feathered visitors so much we decided to gift the whole birdhouse and perch to other family members so they can enjoy them as well.
I have to say this is a great product. It's build sturdy and seems like it's made to last. Its also super easy to setup and install.

- CQCame on time, but missing parts[EDIT] Netvue went above and beyond to rectify this, even months later. Thanks for the stellar customer service. We have set up the bird feeder and it is working very well and the AI recognition is pretty accurate. The solar panel also charges the battery without any issues. Would highly recommend this to anyone on the market for a video feeder.
Ordered our Birdfy only to have it arrive without all the pieces. Contacted Birdfy support (which btw the app is terrible and disconnects frequently, also bad UX but I digress) to request the shipping of literally one part and now we gotta wait 48 hours...before they can then confirm it's that part and assuming another few days to ship the piece to get to my house. Insanity. Meanwhile, I am missing the free 7 day trial of AI on the Birdfy app since I activated today - guess I am SOL. I'll see how the rest of this journey goes but I should have believed the reviews on Reddit and approached with caution.
