- PaulNice Floor Mat - Folds Are Not GreatThis is a really nice floor mat. Like sooo many others have said, the packaging folds create problems for consumers.
It took a looong time for my small brain to realize that I should get nice floor mats, instead of using towels, when my daughter's huge dogs visit (the grand dogs) to limit tracking in pool water and to limit the over spray, past the water bowl mat, from vigorous water consumption. This mats look great and function great for those purposes.
The large mats arrive folded into a small package. The manufacturer recommends ironing through a wet towel to "remove" the folds. I used my pressurized steam iron and a repeatedly wet towel to remove the folds. The folds got LOTS better, but still exist, as of this writing.
The folds changed from totally unacceptable / unusable to acceptable for usage after this large effort, greatly slowing the installation.
The floor mat includes a standard format fabric care label.
The mat backing appears to provide sufficient water and moisture protection.
This is recommended. - ANNBetter than expectedHave had this for about a month and so far so good. It is trapping a lot of dirt at the front door. (More than expected!) We live in a campground, so dirt/debris + a dog is a constant issue. This is also helping with the dog dripping her water all over the house ( Her bowl is on a tray on the doormat) Water absorption is actually great, better than expected. The color is very complimentary and it is well made. ( again, like it more than expected.) We have washed it 2-3 times already with no issue. Good quality and very pleased overall.
