No residue following you in the house - DrewFirst product reviewSpread around 2 pounds on half of 5 brick porch steps the first try and it didn’t melt at all. Then tried about 4 pounds a couple hours later and it didn’t melt much either. Directions on bag say 1/2 cup per square yard. I’m no mathematician but I’m pretty sure I used around 8 cups for the recommended 2 cups. I also spread over ice on the driveway, similar to how I’ve spread other salts, and it didn’t make a difference/melt at all. Also to note, it’s not typical chunks, more like shards, which may be the issue with melting too fast.

- BonnieFair qualityUsed better salt. This salt doesn't work as well as other cheaper ice melts. Went Through 50 lb in about 10 days. It definitely melts, but does not last. Even when pre treating before storm. Think twice before buying.
