- Bob S.Snow Pusher ShovelThis shovel appears to be well made and pretty heavy duty. I'm sure I'm going to get to try it out this weekend because there is a huge snow storm hitting the northeast. It was easy to assemble but you will need a screw gun to attach the handle. It comes with 2 self tapping screws to attach it and there's no way you can do it with a manual screw driver. I don't know why they didn't just drill the holes and provide a nut and bolt like the rest of the shovel.

Used on light snow once so far with no problem. Curious to see how it pushes heavier, wet snow. I have a gravel driveway and can’t use a snowblower as it throws stones… this is an excellent alternative for cleanup of a few inches of snow. - Don S.Do not buy this shovelWas delivered in a small box…you have to screw everything…EVERYTHING…together. The handle…plastic, must be secured with SELF TAPPING SCREWS THROUGH THE METAL SHAFT/POLE!!…Believe me when I tell you, the ‘self tapping screws’ DO NOT go thru the metal pole…you need to TRY and use an AWL to try to start a hole first before a screw will even begin to work…unfortunately, I tapped one of the holes just a tiny to large so the screw didn’t fit and I was forced to find another one that would. If you are elderly, an average sized woman or man…YOU will not be able to tap the handle screws. The design is ridiculous and I feel like I wasted my money on this product. It is also extremely heavy for a snow shovel. Too heavy for my daughter and wife to use.

- TimmySturdyHaven’t had to use it yet. Seems sturdy enough. Didn’t use the reflective tape don’t know why you would.
- BenHeavy, Wobbly, and a Little OutdatedImportant things to know right off the bat: this shovel is very heavy, it requires assembly, and it is purpose built for moving snow using the "plow" method, meaning you walk forward while holding the shovel on the ground, pushing the snow ahead just like the plow trucks on the road. It is highly impractical for scooping and heaving snow, as there really is no way to hold the snow in it and, as mentioned, it is VERY heavy compared to other modern shovels. Using it to remove snow from steps is impractical due to its weight and width. The shovel needs to be built using screws, bolts, nuts and tools. The handle needs to be attached using "self tapping screws" -I used plenty of elbow grease trying to get these screws to "tap" and finally had to use a power drill, sending bits of metal shavings everywhere. When everything was tightened to the max, it still has an uneasy wobble at the connecting points, which did not inspire confidence in its structural integrity. Personally, I think there's something untrustworthy about a simple tool like a hammer or shovel that arrives in 4 or 5 pieces.
I used it on about 3 inches of snow topped with a nice crust of ice, and it mowed right along until it connected with the smallest ridge in the driveway, causing it to stop with the suddenness of a car crash. This happened any time the shovel hit a stick frozen to the ground, some uneven asphalt, or the edge of the driveway. The heaviness of the shovel would rebound back on me, hurting my hand or punching me in the gut. As long as there was nothing firm in its way, the shovel did cut nicely through the snow. Seeing this would often inspire me to confidence, causing me to speed up and almost run, which would inevitably end with the wind getting knocked out of me.
I have a similarly priced shovel from the hardware store that is all factory assembled with no play in the parts. It is FAR lighter than the Best Choice shovel, and while it might not plow as well, it plows well enough without rebounding on me with a vengeance when the ground changes. It can also be used to scoop and heave snow and clear off steps. Compared to it, the Best Choice shovel feels unnecessarily heavy and outdated. If you are willing to spend this kind of money, you can easily find a more functional shovel.
