- SWRIt pushes snow great. Not for lifting and throwing snow.Seems sturdy and well-made. Be aware that this is called a Snowplow, Snowpusher, It is NOT a standard snow shovel. It excels at pushing snow like a plow...just as it's named. Not for lifting snow and throwing it to the side. Keep it down and move the snow. It works great if you use it for its intended purpose and design. The 30 inch is perfect for me. I'm loving it.
- Some GuyA Godsendthis is the best shovel I’ve used for light snow (2-3” wet, 4-5” for powder). The blade feels indestructible, perfect if you have a big driveway and worry about flimsy plastic blades). The shaft has heft and a solid feel, makes pushing the snow easy. It’s been a rough winter already in New England, but the Snowplow pusher has made clearing the driveway a lot easier.
My only complaint is it comes with a few screws that fasten the blade to the metal shaft and it’s pretty hard to penetrate the metal. I gave up and it frankly doesn’t hurt performance, but they should have pre-drilled holes to make that easier. - K. McCGreat Construction! Excellent Quality.Bought this to supplement my current snow shovel. It arrived early and was very easy to assemble in about 10 minutes. You do need a powered screwdriver though. It's really sturdy and not too heavy. The blade is solid too and feels like it will do a great job when the white stuff arrives. I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works!
- Amazon CustomerWorth the price if ya in the marketI was sent to order this by jersey jerry of the famous ‘telluride BUSH’ squad a few weeks ago and holy smokes this shovel is awesome. It may cost more than i would ever expect to pay for a shovel but this thing is so sturdy and so fantastic if it lasts as long as i expect it will be a steal. Im in buffalo and was tired of needed a new shovel every 2 years. This shovel is light and wide i can easily clean the the sidewalk in one pass. Highly recommend if in the high end shovel market.
- cynicatorGood so far. One more point needed to help in assembly.Rec'd this today. After watching assembly video and letting the shovel reach room temp, I assembled it. Not very difficult; if anything, a little awkward due to the slightly unwieldy size. (I bought the 30" blade).
All went well until screwing in the handle to the black brace. I inserted the handle, making sure it was facing the same way as shown in the instructions. It was a pretty snug fit. I then held the entire assembly upside-down and tapped the assembly against our front-porch pavers hoping to get the handle into the hole at the correct/full depth.
There are 3 indentations in the brace to accommodate the screws (very helpful). However, when drilling the holes I started farthest from the blade. The first 2 screws obviously went into the metal handle. (I saw small shards of metal when inserting the screws). However, I don't think the last one did. I saw no metal shards, and the screw went it far easier than the first 2. I think the 3rd isn't screwed through the handle. Now I'm a bit uncertain how long this will last before weakening, and it seems I'd only exacerbate any potential problems if I removed the screws and the handle, then re-inserted the handle and re-inserted the self-tapping screws into new holes in the handle. I held back 1 star for that.
I'd recommend the manufacturer add a line/some marking around the handle to ensure the handle has been inserted to the proper depth. Until they start doing that, I'd recommend buyers measure the depth of the hole and mark the handle to that depth to ensure the handle is fully seated into the brace.
Otherwise, it seems ready for the next snowfall, though now that I've bought this, like rain after washing your car, I know we've likely seen our last snowfall of the year. - MisfitVery nice! The best shovel I that ever owned. It does an amazing job pushing snow and the snow does not stick to the blade. At 30" wide, the job gets done fast, too
- iDIY2MuchLight but strong and effectiveUsed it 5 times now, against powder and winter mix. It works great. It's light but strong. For the wintery mix I used a metal shovel to break up the stiff parts then plowed it away with this shovel. Moving 30 inches can require a lot of power, depending on precipitation, so feel free to get a smaller width if you aren't a beast.
- J. DahlVery sturdy, and easier to use than my old steel shovelI was worried that this wouldn't be as sturdy or reliable as my old steel shovel, but it's been great so far. The biggest advantage to this over my old heavy duty steel one is that this skips or glides over minor imperfections in my asphalt driveway that would catch the edge of my steel shovel. I can't imagine I'll ever go back.
