I used it 4 times in light, powdery snow 2" or less deep. When it worked, it threw the snow far and effortlessly. By the 4th use, it quit working after a few minutes even though the battery was fully charged. It's a shame, because when it worked, it worked great. But for what I paid, no way I was going to keep it. Good thing I realized it had issues while I was still in the return window.

Highly recommend! - W. MeyersDirectional vane failed after a monthWell, it worked great the first four times I used it. Then one of the directional vanes broke off and I am left wondering how long before the others also fail? The power and battery life are both good and I really wanted to give this shovel a great review. As the photo shows, the vanes on the model I received are black while the pictured description shows them as being blue like the auger. Perhaps this is an older model? I will be asking for an exchange or return.
