- Amazon CustomerAwesome buy and l works greatThis home drinking water test kit turned out to be a good buy. It comes with simple instructions that make the process easy. The strips only need a moment in the water before the colors show, and the results come through fast. I checked the basic quality of my tap water in just a few minutes. Everything looked normal, and the kit helped explain why the water tastes a little bitter. The sulfate level was high, which fits the local water supply that comes from underground springs and wells. For the price and what you get, this kit is quick, easy to use, and reliable. I recommend it for anyone who wants a straightforward way to test their home water.
- KevinInstant results.Great product. The instructions were pretty easy to follow and self explanatory. Everything was also easy to set, and the results were also very instant.
- BethPros and consEdit: going from 2/5 stars for the faulty bacteria tests to 4/5 stars for the free and total chlorine amounts. They did a “light” chlorination on our system and these things have been amazing for testing out the water.
I bought this to test our well water. The thin strips that test pH and water hardness are accurate. I found it easy to test and interpret results.
I am giving this two stars, unfortunately, because the most important test which is bacteria, told me that I don’t have any… and I do. I had my well water tested by a water company, they called and told me I tested positive for total coliform. This is the non harmful bacteria which can turn into e. Coli which is harmful. I followed the instructions and at 48 hours, my test was negative. At this point I thought the water company may have been trying to sell me on a UV light so I bought a different bacteria test from Amazon. At the 36hr mark it was positive for bacteria. Had I just used and trusted this test, I would’ve had bacteria in my water and never done anything about it. Just warning others so the same thing doesn’t happen to you.
Pictured is the test after 48 hours. - aobryan2A Must-Have for Private Well OwnersI recently purchased the Bestprod 20-in-1 Drinking Water Testing Kit to check our family’s private well water, and I am very satisfied with my purchase. After testing both my home’s well and my parents’ system, I’m impressed by how thorough and user-friendly this kit is. Here’s why it’s worth considering:
Easy setup, clear results
The strips are straightforward to use – just dip, wait around 15 seconds, and match the colors to the chart. I appreciated the bolded acceptable ranges on the bottle, which made interpreting hardness, chlorine, and lead levels foolproof. Both wells showed safe levels of mostly everything. Super high ph of 9 caught me off guard but this is a private well that was privately done by my father. We don’t use it to drink but sometimes the pets will get some of the water so we wanted to make sure it was safe for them.
Smart value
At under $30 for 120 strips, it’s cheaper than lab testing while covering 20 parameters and bacteria testing.
For anyone with wells or just curious about their water quality, this kit delivers lab-grade insights without the lab price tag. Five stars – it’s become part of our regular home maintenance routine. - Gramma TEasy to use. Easy to read.Great, quick check of our well water. Easy reading results too.
- J. marchegianoQuick results.Easy to use. Fast. Multiple tests.
- Connie ArnoldAccurate water testing in camper at RV park. Was easy to understand and worked well! Loved having the accurate understanding of the water hardness and quality in the RV park we are staying.
- MoWork well!I think these work well for what I needed. Definitely a little more than I’d like to pay for something like this but I found the tests to be easy to read. Whether they’re accurate or not I can’t know for sure but they did help me decide between filtered shower heads so it worked for my needs. I think if you had a real issue with your water these would definitely help identify them enough to know whether a professional is needed or not.
