I posted the original review in Dec 2025. Here we are, Feb 2026 and I must report that the solar panel has stopped working. It is no longer charging gar batteries to my outside ring cam. I checked the cables, the angle of the panel and all appears to be ok but I can’t get it to work. Too bad. - nExcellent Solar Panels for Ring CamThe solar panels for the ring cam work very well to keep the cams charged all the times. They were very easy to install and worked well with the cam and other similar mounting hardware. Since installing the solar panels, I no longer need to pull out the batteries and charge them and put them back in. Now the cams just stay charged. The only challenge with one of them was that it only gets sun during the late afternoon. I had to extend the arm I have it attached to to get it out from under the eve of the house to get a little more sun during the day. That allowed it to charge the cam's battery enough that didn't lose power over time. Since doing that, I haven't had to charge either of the batteries. They are just charging with the sunlight, which is great. It comes with a long 10 foot cord. So the placement of the cam and the placement of the solar panel can be different if you need and you can run the wire from one to the other. That cord also has rubber collars at the connectors to keep out water. I've had them for about a year and the solar panels have held up well in the Texas heat and the elements. Very happy with these. They're working great.

I have never had a Ring branded solar panel, so I don’t have experience with “the real deal”. This does however, register as a solar panel in the Ring App, so that may/ may not mean anything.
This came quickly, was packaged appropriately, and set up was super easy. It’s literally just plug and play; no adapter needed. The most difficult part of the installation was positioning it correctly to get optimal sun exposure (still don’t know if I got it right or not). The only improvement I could think of is having the “swivel” all the way around instead of just on one side of the bracket. I installed the bracket upside down and I cannot get the panel to “tilt” up towards the sky as far as I’d like. Not a panel issue; it’s an installer issue.
I have 3 other solar panels attached to other cameras on my on my home (two doorbells and one floodlight camera). This time, however, I decided to test if the solar panel actually CHARGES or just simply keeps the batteries CHARGED (the other three had full batteries when I installed the solar panel). It did take a couple days, but this panel charged both batteries to 97-100 (one was on 1 and the other on 12). I don’t know how quickly panels should charge, so I cannot speak on the power of this panel.
So far I am very pleased with my purchase. Just hope it keeps the batteries charged this winter ( this is installed on an exterior chicken coop in the backyard. Only gets late afternoon sun) - Kimber2629Works as described! Save your batteries.Absolutely a must for outdoor ring cameras! Our battery was down to 3% in just a few days of purchasing, shutting off many features. We decided to purchase this solar plug in and see if it would actually work and recharge our battery. By day 2, our battery is at 64% and we’re able enjoy all features available including recording all movement day and night. Can’t go wrong with this price! The solar panel is quite big compared to most plug in solars, approximately measuring 8” x 5”. The only downfall to being so large, it’s not as easy to hide. If you’re wanting it to be hidden, it wouldn’t be with this solar panel because the plug in length doesn’t give enough leeway to place anywhere but near the camera. We have ours placed above the camera. If that doesn’t bother you, then this is a must have! We were worried it wouldn’t work right because the plug-in didn’t feel like it went all the way in, however, it has worked perfectly and done its job in charging our battery for the ring camera! The solar panel is an easy plug-in and pull-out so you could disconnect the solar whenever needed and it should have your battery charged enough that it will still function with all features until you plug the solar in again. We mounted our solar panel though and leave it plugged in. I provided a picture of our battery health to show the solar and the charge after just 2 days (with little sun due to non stop storms)

They extended the life of my ring battery when I was out of town for 3 months, but the ring battery died a little after the 4 month. They are easy to mount the the cable is long enough to reach the camera which is under an eave.
I had a more expensive Ring brand solar panel which did not extend the life of the battery at all. It arrived quickly, was extremely easy to install and connect, and the price was much easier on the wallet versus the Ring brand solar panel. We’ve had this solar panel connected for almost a month now and it does great at keeping our camera battery charged with no issues thus far. Plus, this solar panel actually shows up as being connected to the camera within the Ring app, unlike so many others being sold. If looking for a solar panel for your battery powered Ring Stick Up Cam Pro, I highly recommend this solar panel.
