- Mel S.Works at 20°F and great on concrete and pet paws.I knew this would be a harsher winter than last year, but had no idea it would occur in one weekend. Normally 15 lbs is plenty for the season, but I should have ordered 45 lbs. I have a concrete driveway and a dog, and trying to find something that works for both is difficult. When the temperature got above 20°F it melted the ice pack fairly well. The 15 lb bucket is easy to handle and the perfect size/weight. Highly recommend for functionality and quality.
- Leslie FryeWorked During New Jersey Snowfall!I own a non profit that takes care of the community cats in our New Jersey neighborhood. I’m always concerned about the salt that’s used when there’s a snowfall. This was my first time using this product and I can attest that it worked very well. I only wish that there was another (larger) size. The crystals are large, so the product goes quickly. All Ana all, the ice melt was rapid and it barely tracked in our home. Great product.
- Amazon CustomerThe Best: Fast Acting & LightweightAfter this crazy storm we had, I wish I had another buckeet of this. Personally, I like it the best because not only is it safe for pets, but it doesn't leave any gross residue on the ground or on the floors. It's A LOT lighter than most ice salts/melts especially after buying a giant bag of some other crappy brand. This stuff lasts a lot longer, works faster, and is easier to spread. I could care less about how the bucket opens because I would prefer knowing it stays closed. My only complaint is the scoop because it's a bit flimsy, but the bucket can be repurposed to use for something else. I'm buying this again and will continue to do so after using a different brand.

I thought it was just me, so I was relieved to read the other reviews. The scoop is helpful, the container though heavy is well balanced. Probably would not purchase again, prefer the pet friendly ice melt that is tinted blue. All of these products are expensive.

It melted the ice immediately in temperatures in the teens. Plus it remained on the ground to prevent refreezing. I especially like that it is safe for pets and cement.
