- Dixie4 stars for now, but the bucket is not air tightFirst time purchasing this brand as I continue to seek a balance between good product and price point. The TABIT brand had mixed reviews but most were positive, so I'm giving it a try. All the lesser known brands we use are always compared to Leslie's/In The Swim chlorine tablets. They're the baseline after 30+ years of pool ownership.
Four stars is generous at this point since I cannot yet provide a performance grade for chemical dissolvability or lid opening. However, I can say right off the bat that we'll be moving the tablets to a better sealed container as soon as the next one comes available (-1 star). I met the FedEx Home delivery driver at the door, brought the box in for unpacking, and immediately smelled chlorine. Not a good sign. This means the container is not airtight and the product will degrade faster than it should. I bagged the product container in a large plastic bag for storage until the current bucket of tabs is empty (at least 1-2 months).
I'll be back later to update about the product dissolvability and other performance factors. I'll also give feedback on the lid. This is usually my #1 gripe about chemical buckets. I realize they must be airtight, but some are so much simpler/easier to remove than others, on a weekly basis. Oddly, sometimes the most difficult lids to open initially become the easiest to remove regularly. Go figure. - Chris W.Good productWorks well.
