- MiyaHe loves it!The texture is pretty much what you’d expect from crested gecko food— a little bit hard to clean. I’ll admit I mean some of it got on the glass and I forgot to clean it and it was literally like stone. Other than that, my gecko loves it. He has been more active and he seems more healthy actually! He went from being hidden all the time to being very active and climbing around his enclosure and even letting me hold him finally, he actually kind of scared me because he literally just jumped at me ???? he was so excited for his next meal. And I do like how much you get. I’m pretty sure mine was 1 pound but with one gecko this is gonna last quite a while unlike the pet store that charges maybe seven dollars for 4 ounces. I recently planted some plants in his enclosure as well, and the food has fallen onto the plants a couple of times on accident. I don’t know if this is important or not, but he doesn’t harm the plants or any bioactive critters that are in there if you’re curious about that AND he poops fine.
