  • Works Perfectly — Great Heat Pad for Our Hermit Crab Tank!
This heat pad works great! We attached it to the side of our hermit crab tank, and it provides just the right amount of warmth without overheating. The size is perfect, and it’s super easy to set up.
It heats consistently, is completely silent, and the waterproof design gives extra peace of mind. Our hermit crab seems much more active and comfortable since we added it.
Highly recommend for small tanks or hermit crab enclosures!
  • Works well! Keeping my green anole warmer through the cold.
Long press untill the number changes and starts to blink, release and then use the arrows to change the temperature. Easy to install with the provided double sided sticky mat. Big numbers make them easy to see across the room without my glasses and the cord length is decent. Worked well through the freeze last night.
  • Stick Well. Heat well
These are my go to with any reptile enclosures. Always work well and stick for a long time even if removed for cleaning
  • Works great!
Works super well! Has really helped up the ambient temperature in my Ball Python enclosure. One thing to keep in mind is that you NEEEEEEEEED to pair this with a thermostat!!!! If you do not do this, your reptile WILL get burned! This thing gets really really hot if it's not given a thermostat! Otherwise, it has been perfect and has done exactly what I needed it to! Overall a good budget option, especially if you just need a pad to put under the warm hide!
  • Great for Sourdough Too.
I bought this for my homemade sourdough bread proofing container. It stays our of the way stuck to the side and maintains a perfect constant temperature for the sourdough culture between 73° and 77°. Far better than a nightlight or light bulb. Beats keeping it in the oven with a light on where temps can climb above 80° and there's a risk someone could forget to check before preheating the oven.
  • BN-LINK Durable Reptile Heating Pad 8" X 12" with Digital Thermostat
This is a way better value then the pads I got from the pet store, the temperature control ensures the tank doesn't get too cold/hot. Perfect size for a 10 gallon tank. I find my hermit crab loves to curl up against the tank
  • Faulty.
I’ve used the thermostats for my reptiles and they work fine. This time I decided to buy the combo (thermostat + heating pad) and the heating pad worked fine, but the thermostat was faulty. It gave me an E2 error. I’ve used BN-Link products for my reptiles for years without a problem but I guess I just got a faulty one this time. I’m just thankful I had bought backup thermostats from other brands on hand as it’s too late to get a refund or a replacement for this. Don’t let my review scare you, these products are usually REALLY good but I’d have a backup just incase however.
  • CHINA ACTUALLY PRODUCED SOMETHING THAT WORKS!
I thought I was buying a heating pad, basically what you're buying is a controller that comes with a free heating pad. I can't believe the price of this, I would expect at least $50. Especially considering that it is for pet use.

It is a temperature controller, displays current temp inside tank, and has a separate permanently wired temp sensor that sticks to the inside of the tank with a suction cup. The suction cup works very well, even after repeated removals. The heating pad plugs in separately to a 110v plug on the controller. You can use any 110v device, I would only recommend using a heater or heat lamp though lol. I suppose you could wire it into a stereo, and when the temperature gets above your set point it starts playing Jimi Hendrix. The problem with that, is you then have to figure out whether or not your reptile is more of a country fan, or a rock fan..

The heating pad is completely covered with adhesive on one side for sticking to OUTSIDE of the tank.

It's a lot larger than I expected, although I didn't look too see what size I was buying - I just expected smaller.

The instructions say multiple times to place on the outside of the tank, so be aware of that. Also, it is absolutely not supposed to be placed on wood or anything other than glass, according to the instructions, so be aware of that.

After reading the instructions, and being aware of that, I decided to just set it under the tank, on top of wood. It wasn't even real wood. It was crap particle board. Maybe the glue in the particle board increased its thermal properties, but I doubt it. I think it's more probable that the heating pad doesn't get hot enough to catch wood on fire.

I didn't stick it to the tank because we are replacing the tank in a month. I then decided to move the tank and stick it to the side of the tank temporarily, so I removed a half inch or so (ended up being about an inch) of the adhesive backing all the way around the edge of the heating pad and stuck it to the glass so that I can remove it, and the rest of the adhesive is unused for the new tank.

If this is not an absolute permanent fixture on your tank, I would advise sticking it to the tank using only a little bit of the adhesive (by removing small sections of at the adhesive backing to expose only small areas of adhesive). You will never get this off the tank in reusable condition if you use the entire adhesive sheet. I probably exposed too much adhesive. It's going to be a pain when I go to remove it.
