Based on reviews, I ordered 2 bags of this hay, which arrived on different dates. The first, the one I opened, had so many first-cut, eye-pokers, plus multiple brown patches.
Oh, no, I thought; I've been down this road so much. So, today, after selectively sorting out the usable portions, I'm throwing the last 1/3 away. The second bag, arriving after the one I'm now discarding a portion of, appears much greener. I am hopeful it's like the ones winning the good reviews. Three stars for what I received. I may come back if bag #2 really is all it promises. Update: Opened up other bag--nicer, greener, still very "stalky". Upgrade to 4 stars. - PrestoneanGreat valueGuinea Pig loves it.
