- BunnyFeathersHelpful for giving medication and getting picky eaters interested in their food.One of my cats needs to take a pill 3 times a day, and Churu has made it SO much easier! To get him to swallow the pill, I just sort of smother it with the churu (I really pile it on) and put it on the back of his tongue, and he just swallows it right down. I follow it with about half a Churu to help him wash it down. He loves the Churu so much, he actually looks forward to pill time.
I also have 3 other cats and they all love it as well - they each get about half of a tube in the evening as a dinner topper. If you have a cat that is picky, adding some Churu as a topper will definitely help keep them interested in their food.
I like to order in bulk because we do go through quite a bit, and the 40 pack seems to be a good value. I can't really speak on the shelf life because my cats end up eating them all pretty quickly, especially since I use it for giving medication.
As for the flavor, I've never seen a cat that didn't like it. We've tried all the flavors, and my cats seemed to like them all a lot.
We've also tried other brands of similar liquid tube treats, and Churu seems to be better quality, my cats like it better, and none of my cats have had any bad reactions to churu (another brand actually gives one of my cats a rash).
Overall, I think Churu is the best product of its kind and I think my cats can agree. - A. MarlowWonderful treats!All four of our cats absolutely love these treats! They make giving medication so much easier since the cats think they’re just getting a tasty snack. The texture hides pills perfectly, and even our pickiest cat doesn’t suspect a thing. It’s a total game changer for stress-free medicine time.
- BeccaCats like thisI trapped a feral mom cat that had kittens out on my patio, released her in one of my bedrooms, and brought all her newborn kittens in there to be with her. The reason for this is that I could more easily socialize those kittens and get them to a rescue once they were weaned. That way they would never have to live as ferals. She is an excellent mom and took great care of her babies. However, once I got the kittens off to the rescue, I noticed the moms appetite decrease significantly. I think she misses her babies.
She will eat just a little bit of Purina One Dry but has been refusing Fancy Feast canned, which she loved before. I also gave her some tuna and turkey baby food. She ate a little but not much. But, she loves Churu. I just gave her 2 tubes which she gulped down. My other cats love this as well. Once I get her medically cleared and spayed, I hope to introduce her to my other cats and I think that will make her happier to have more company. Anyway, this is highly palatable and I just ordered 80 more tubes. Would recommend! - Kathy MOur Cats Love These!Every evening, right after our two havanese pups go to bed, our two sister kitties wait patiently in the kitchen for their 'late night' Churu lick-up. They LOVE this stuff, and it's fun watching their pure satisfaction with this creamy delight! Your cats will love it! And it's good for them too! Cats are typically picky about their water. These soft snacks give them a bit of a 'liquid boost' every day.
- CheyenneVery potent smell, my cats love themChuru treats are perfect for picky cats. I do a lot of fostering for sick kittens, and since they have a very strong scent (seafood) it definitely helps stimulate their appetite! They last a long time in the tube but once they are opened they tend to crust up rather quickly. It helps that the tubes are a bit small so I don’t usually have a lot left over. I love that the tubes are colored based on flavor, it makes it easier to find the one I’m looking for.
- OhioToo expensive. Good for giving old cat her medication.I use these to give my cat her meds. She is ancient and loves these so she gets her meds without me wrestling her. However, the price is going up too fast on Amazon. It cost more for 60 tubes than for 80 ( 2 boxes of 40) at the grocery store. I cancelled my subscription. I also question how healthy the treat itself is for cats. In my situation, the cat is so old that it's basically comfort care. She likes them. They get her anti inflammatory medicine and her gi meds down. Long term health isn't much of a concern.
- Patricia W.taste good work greatGreat treat, low in calories, healthy. I can use one several times, I put a portion in his dish and it satisfies him. He is diabetic and needs to watch his weight. I find the quality of this product is excellent. My daughter in law is a Vet and recommended these for him.
