They might not like it much, but I love how it works!! Once they get used to it they do great when I brush them out! Good buy and would buy again! - saavy consumerPerfect for double coat dogsLove this for my long double coat dog! I tried using the brush I had for my previous shorter hair dog but did not really get the deshedding going. The furminator deshedded but I felt like it was ripping at his coat. Hard to clean hair out. This 2 pc slicker brush is the bomb! Slides through his hair easily, gets the matted area cleaned up without issue. To remove the accumulated hair, you just slide the comb through and presto! hair is released. My Aussie pyr loves to be brushed. The pins on the brush can be sharp if you push down further than needed or get your fingers in there to remove something but that is with most grooming tools. This is the perfect brush for us.
