We use them in makeshift warming boxes to keep newborn lambs and kids warm in early spring. We also use them for day old chicks after hatching. This particular one fits well into my existing heat lamp casing I have. It puts off a good amount of heat. The red color will keep chicks from pecking one another. It seems pretty durable as well. This is a bit overpriced for me, as I was able to get a 2 pack for just $3 more.
