I like comfort so I ordered the 2xl size which is perfect for my body . I’m tall, weigh about 220lbs most days (except after a pizza delivery) but you get the point?
The length is just right for my 34” inseam size. After trying them on, I immediately ordered two more pair to get me through the winter. That should tell you something. - JF&CComfortable sweatpants, but they run quite largePurchased 2 pairs of these in size Large and when I received them I thought I had been mistakenly shipped XL or even XXL by mistake. The length was at least 2 inches to long (I'm 5'9" w/ 36" waist for reference) and they were WAY too loose & baggy. I returned them and got a pair in size Medium and they fit much better. The length is right and they're not super baggy now.

I like the XL for normal wear, running errands, they fit comfortably and loosely but I do like an extra baggy and lose fit for home wear and the XXL are very loose and baggy, in a good way lol. Pockets are deep and length is perfect.

They are comfortable for lounging or running errands, and they hold up well after washing. For the price, they are such a great deal. Just an easy pair of sweats to keep in rotation.
- Mrbill57Pockets too shallow to safely carry cell phones. Phone can slip out of pocket when sitting.They are a lighter weight material than I would have liked. The biggest issue I have is with the pockets. They are very shallow so carrying a phone in them allows the phone to stick out. You have to be mindful that your phone may slip out of your pocket when you sit down. Deeper pockets would have increased my star rating.

Fit: M is a bit longer than other Mediums that I have purchased. Anybody who buys sweatpants at this price ought to know that there are things that must be overlooked; in the case of length the Hanes has fit me perfectly. Pockets: here is another case where I may differ from most buyers, smaller pockets suit me; they are smaller than one usually gets with sweatpants in this price range. Comfort and softness will not be rated by me as I could care less about these features if in fact they are anyone's concern at all. The waistband has above normal elasticity, which is a big concern for me. They are perfect for PJ bottoms without the crazy plaids and holiday imprints. Because of the PJ use on my part my evaluation of bagginess, which I believe the Hanes EcoSmart Fleece Sweats Open Bottom is trending towards I am well satisfied. I have seen a trend toward a tapered leg. I favor the baggyesque and could stand to live with S-pants that are baggier than I would like but with these they are not outside the range of living with something that is not peculiar to one's personal taste. The price is exceptionally low for my needs. As a brief autobiographical note: I bring this up because of the anonymity of this review. Embarrassment pervades my mentioning how many pairs of sweatpants I have purchased in my life. Washes up and dries in dryer great, stretches well when bending and material thickness is perfect. They are keeping their color well without fading.
