- iamwrightNot a daytime timerDoes not work during the day. I misunderstood how this timer is designed to work. I bought it to operate my waterfall DURING THE DAY. You can not set the dial to 10 hours and have it work for 10 hours and then shut off. It will turn on at nightfall and then operate for 10 hours - while we are all sleeping and not enjoying the waterfall and then during the day it's off. Oops, my bad. I'm keeping it though to use this winter for my xmas lights because it's very straightforward and worked great. Back to the drawing board!

No longer worked after three months - calvin cummingsworks greathad this one for at least ten years no problems it turns on off an on by timer also by light i have several one for the back door an it comes on when it starts to get dark off when it gets day light. Easy to hook up great for x-mas lights.
- Amazon CustomerDoes not last.This is a waste of money. It doesn’t last long at all. It worked for one month (the first year we got it). I pulled it out last year and it didn’t work. I tried to give it a chance and just pulled it out to try again this year. The on light shows green but doesn’t give power to the lights or work as a splitter. Both sets of lights work when tested separately and so does the extension cord. It was also was hard to wire onto the side of the house. So bummed I try not to buy trash that won’t last.
