- Jessica IrmerEasy and accurateEasy to use, works well
- KCDVegasA Must-Have Stud Finder - Saved Me More Than Just Time!I recently moved into a new house with my family, and let me tell you, this stud finder was a game changer for all the projects we had lined up! From mounting a massive 75" TV on the wall to setting up a complex shelving system in the garage and dozens of floating shelves for family photos, this tool has been my trusty sidekick.
The ease of use is something I can't stress enough. Even if you're not a DIY pro, this stud finder makes you feel like one. The accuracy in finding the true center of a stud was spot on every single time, which is critical when you're hanging heavy items like a large TV. The multiple drywall depth settings were a lifesaver, especially in different parts of the house where wall thickness varied. I'll admit that I've dropped it onto multiple floor types when forgetting it was perched on top of my ladder, including well over 7 feet onto rock hard concrete in the garage. Nothing has phased this stud finder and it continues to provide accurate x-ray-level readings to this day.
But here’s the kicker – it's an incredible all-in-one product for the price! It's not just a stud finder; it's like having a little construction assistant in your tool belt. The one feature that absolutely blew me away – and this might sound dramatic – was how it saved me from potential electric shock. While installing the TV, this little gem detected a 'hot' monitor cable hidden in the wall, left by the previous homeowners. They had covered up the cable concealer and gang box, making it invisible to the naked eye. If it weren't for this stud finder, I might have had a shocking surprise...
In summary, if you're setting up a new home or tackling any project that involves drilling into walls, you need this stud finder. It's not just a tool, it's peace of mind that you're drilling in the right spot – and not into live wires! Highly recommend for its accuracy, ease of use, and for keeping me safe and shock-free! - Craig SGood product. Poor user manualThe device works well. While the instructions for locating studs was mostly accurate, the instructions for locating metal and electrical were useless. The instructions which even referred to a non existent button was likely written in Chinese and poorly translated to English. If you're using this to locate pipes and electrical don't waste your time trying to interpret their poorly translation instructions and just find a YouTube video with someone using a similar product.
- Ray DotyStud Finder - This tool takes all the guess work out of finding wall studs.Excellent instructions are included for this Stud Finder. Easy to use with confidence.
- Mark G.Works wellThe translated directions into English is a little iffy. However, after a little practice, I figured it out and it works just great.
- CARAverage stud finder, average results.JZXWQ Stud Finder Wall Scanner - It does work but it must be set for the correct depth - such as 1/2" drywall/sheetrock over stud should be set at 1" depth - or you will get false readings. You will also get false readings if the materials over the studs are not perfectly, flatly laid together; all surfaces must be flat and mated together, otherwise you will not find the stud center and perhaps miss the stud entirely when fastening nails or screws. The studs must be square and plumb in the wall, with the plates, and any sheathing, period.
Average stud finder, average results. - W. Craig PattersonPerfect!Works!
- Matthew SullivanDon't buy it and if you do don't bother opening the instructionsHoly christ the english in the instructions is beyond broken - so broken that I felt the need to write my first review EVER just to complain about it. You're better off guessing how to use the thing. Then again for the price and country of origin I wouldn't expect anything less.
Also doesn't even work. There was about 20 minutes between when it came out of the box and when it was in my trash. It either beeps randomly or not at all, not one time did it identify the same spot as a stud, I even used the calibration button and tried all the modes. Thought it was a simple technology that couldn't possibly be dysfunctional but the chinese woefully proved me wrong. Just use a magnet. Way cheaper, easier, and works better
