If someone has a handicap and needs to get into a room this is easily pushed down. These particular handles do not have locks as I was thinking of safety in mind to avoid anyone locking it by accident and not being able to get out. They are easy to install. The square base gives it an elegant look that matches the square electrical plugs in the room. It is a simple look yet very elegant. The value for the money is wonderful high above. The kwikset brand is a high quality product with functionality for both handicapped children and regular adults alike. These are used in a bedroom for both the closet and the main door. They match beautifully against a white or off white door. Kwikset is a very reputable brand and I highly recommend them if you are looking to update your door handles as well as giving yourself the upgrade as an elderly person that might not be able to turn a door handle as there are arthritis and their body changes.
