- TomD77A WinnerWhen first saw them, I was disappointed at how small they are, a little more that half the size of regular garden shears. But I just tried them out while trying to weed eat the jungle back some on the periphery of my 1 acre yard in my 10 heavily wooded acre property. I used them to cut anything too thick or woody for the weed eater. I found that whatever they lack in size, they make up in sharpness. This shear cut as well and easily as any of my larger ones while adding convenience of the small size to the mix.
