I would rather it was like a chalk board with black background and white writing instead of the multi colors revealed when you draw on the black background. The colors are not bright enough and they are fixed in position. So whatever is being drawn is going to be multi-colored depending on what part of the screen you are drawing on. Not sure why that was chosen in design. Could have been five stars except for the color writing scheme. If it lasts, it will be ok, Otherwise its a negative 5. I gave it a 3 as it is easy to use and inexpensive enough to pass muster. I would use it to jot notes if my grand daughter doesn't like it.
