- N2bleuYou just Might REALLY Love This Game!Frikkin' awesome game! The story, main characters, graphics, animation and villains!... oh my! Finally! A Star Wars game that let's a lightsaber work (CUT) like it's SUPPOSED to. AND, off the rails, free exploration world.
Put your thinking cap on, because you literally have to figure out how to get from one place to another on the map. This game is not centered around action. Although, it's got PLENTY of of it! The fight graphics and animation are next level! It's story and character driven, and designed for those who love to go off the obvious or marked path. You're missing out AND cheating yourself if you don't take the time to explore the world around you. No glitter trails or lines to follow. Figure it out as you go. Bd-1 is adorable! Easily surpasses BB-8 on many levels. I'm not hating on BB-8. Just sayin' BD-1 is totes adorbz!!
Oh yeh, btw, alot of the creatures and enemies don't play fair. Stay alert! You will NOT be warned of any impending ambushes!
If you love classic Star Wars, love the idea of wielding a lightsaber and the Force like only the best of Jedi could, if you enjoy the challenge of consciously strategizing your attack and evasion moves against your opponents (button mashing will not get you all the way through this one), if you're overly curious and just HAVE to see what's on the other side, down the hole, in the cave, or ever wonder "what happens if I push that button?", you just might REALLY love this game. - DavidA amazing addition to the Star Wars Universe.I played and beat this game in about 14 hours. The combat is incredibly satisfying and difficult and the story is well thought out and engaging. By far the best Star Wars game to come out since the Disney acquisition 8 years ago.
It is a little glitchy at times but nothing game breaking, usually just weird and funny. - Shawnathe game is great but Amazon sucksI enjoyed the gameplay while it lasted, my computer died and I built a new one however I cant download it again because Amazon does not have a link for download, on every other game I have bought from Amazon on a digital download there is one just not on this one and no steam sucks too they do not even have a place where I can put in my key code and play the dam game without buying it again, not gona happen I dont pay multiple times for something I already frikin own.
- ShtevoJust shy of classic status, but a must buy for fans of the franchise nonetheless. While it doesn't quite achieve classic status, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a solid entry in the long, alebit somewhat shaky history of Star Wars video games. It's a game fans of the franchise deserve after several years of waiting. The game offers an addicting blend of Souls-like combat, exploration, and some minor puzzle solving, with excellent audio/visual presentation and a decent story to tie it all together. I reserve a five star rating because of some technical hiccups, and a few annoying but not experience-ruining gameplay quirks. There can be a noticable ammount of frame stuttering, especially when loading new areas. It's not enough to be considered game breaking, but it's certainly noticable. My system is no longer considered high end (1070 SLI, i7 7700K), but I've heard people with more powerful specs having the same problems. Overall, performance in-game is playable for the majority of the time. As to "problems" with the gameplay (and I may be in the minority here), I find the enemy targeting system to be a bit grating. The game gives you the options to lock on to a single target, and to switch between targets with a directional button. More often than not, I find the system to be a bit clunky. The game seemingly can't decide which target it wants to select at any given time, leading to more deaths than I'd like to admit (playing on the second to highest difficulty, where timing on dodges and parries is essential). To try to mitigate this, you can simply leave the target system off, but this leads to the combat feeling a bit floaty and imprecise at times. That said, the lightsaber and force gameplay are more than satisfying enough to make up for these issues. There's also a fairly standard, but adequate branching leveling system (Force, Lightsaber, and Survival, if memory serves) akin to classic ARPG's. For the completionist, there's plenty of secret areas and cosmetic options for clothing/lightsabers to be unlocked, via advancing further in the story and gaining new abilities that can be used to open previously inaccessible doors and chests. This gives the game a good amount of replayability. All in all, I consider this game a must buy for fans of the franchise. We finally have a great single player Star Wars experience to enjoy!
