Super Mario Party Jamboree for the Nintendo Switch 2 is exactly what I was hoping for — a huge, joyful celebration of everything that makes the Mario Party series so beloved, now supercharged with next-gen polish and the exciting new Jamboree TV feature.
From the moment you boot up the game, the energy is infectious. The visuals are bright, crisp, and bursting with detail — easily the best the series has looked to date. The character animations are smoother, the boards are more dynamic and interactive, and every mini-game feels like its own mini-event. Whether you're playing solo, with friends locally, or online, Jamboree delivers fast, chaotic, laugh-out-loud fun.
The real standout is the Jamboree TV integration. It brings a new layer of replayability and competition to the game — think of it like a live, rotating Mario Party channel. It streams special themed events, weekly challenges, and even live tournaments that feel like mini festivals. One night we were playing a "Haunted Mansion" mini-game marathon, and the next day it was a "Bowser's Beach Bash" leaderboard race. It keeps the game fresh in a way no Mario Party has before.
The number of playable characters, board options, and mini-games is incredible. There's a good mix of classic-style games and new mechanics that use the Switch 2's upgraded motion and touch features. And yes — the return of the classic turn-based mode with modern conveniences is the best of both worlds.
Online play is vastly improved from past entries. Matchmaking is faster, smoother, and more stable, and the party chat system (thanks to Switch 2’s onboard voice support) finally lets us yell at each other in real time when someone steals a star!

- Jeremiah RodriguezThe best Mario Party game on the Switch 1 sadly blemished with the Switch 2 editionThe base game is good, but the Jamboree TV content requires you to spend a lot of money in order to enjoy everything that it has to offer. In total, you’re paying well over $100+, which is absurd. You need to pay for the camera and extra Switch 2 joy-cons for two or more people in order to play through the mouse-mode style minigames. Instead, what this game could’ve benefitted from was more boards and more ways of fleshing out the side modes to make them even more fun! With that said however, just because the Switch 2 edition blemished this game doesn’t take away from the core gameplay experience that this game already offered on the Switch 1. This is why I’m still giving this game 5 stars. Definitely WAIT for a price drop though because it is NOT worth paying for full price.
