- NobeGreat sound and easy setup – almost too good!I ordered these up for my son, and they work perfectly. The sound quality is so good that half the time he's completely locked into his games and can't even hear me calling him! The setup was a total breeze—straight out the box, simple instructions, and we were good to go. I also really appreciate that it comes with everything you need right there, including the charging wire and the USB connection device. If you've got a young gamer in the house, these are definitely worth the money. Solid purchase.
- BooksWell Worth the Extra Money!The Turtle Beach Stealth 500 Wireless Gaming Headset was well worth the money! I returned a competitor's headset yesterday after some frustration and waste of time attempting to get them to function. The Turtle Beach Headset has a transmitter that plugs into the USB port on the Xbox where the other pair had a transmitter that stuck on the controller which is simply annoying and impractical. Anyway, the TB Headset arrived today and within a short time after charging the unit they were functioning beautifully! No searching for directions or solutions! They worked and the sound quality is outstanding. The Stealth 500 Headset is about twice what I paid for the rival's, but ten times less aggravation!
- Paul C.Had rated 1 star, but the Turtle Beach Stealth team did the fixes finally.Turtle Beach has had a very good reputation many, many years ago, and I was looking for a budget friendly gaming headset. I see this product came out to the market approx April 2024 this year, and that as a promo, Amazon Vine (and possibly other major retailers) working alongside Turtle Beach, gave out this item for free to reviewers to write an honest review. Well, I am NOT one of them but my review IS Honest. I purchased this item reading what I thought were honest reviews. Quite a few reviewers failed to mention that the Firmware Update is Mandatory for this Item to Fully Function, AND that it takes at least an Intermediate to Advanced IT Person to figure out that if you want to use this item on Windows 11, the installation will shut down every time if you don't configure the Setup file for compatibility. ADD to this mess, even if you're lucky to get the software installed, You will then need to use your phone to download the APP to complete the Firmware update! It is a 3 STEP PROCESS THAT TOOK ME 5 HOURS.
Whenever I go back to the PC app, the app says device disconnected even when I turn the headphones on. Another glitch right there.
ALSO, the USB Transmitter Dongle will be Flashing RED. This does not mean it's not working as it's working for me. It rarely turns Green which is ODD because doesn't Green usually mean GO?
Folks this item is not worth the trouble for this price. I am awaiting a reply back from Turtle Beach Customer Service regarding the software installation issue.
Other negatives: You have to unscrew and rescrew the band to make the headband piece if you have a larger head size.
A small section of the earpiece/faux leather foam came dented and cosmetically i can't get it to get back into shape.
the 1 star is for the sound quality and things working out to satisfaction after all was fixed on my end.
If it breaks or fails, then Zero.
Update as of 8/14/24: It appears that the Support Team fixed quite a number of issues mentioned above. I will update to 3 stars. The PC application is now recognizing when I power on the headset.
Audio quality was also upped to 24 bit 48000 Hz as windows default which is not the best but decent.
Minor glitch: Once you turn on the headset, you have to go to settings and change the speaker to the headset and vice versa when you want to go back to your PC speakers (Hopefully there will be an update/fix for this soon).
The sound (and especially bass) when playing games is far superior than listening to music, so I guess this is the reason they call it a gaming headset lol.
Update: Nov 2024: All technical glitches have been resolved to the best of the manufacturer (as long as you follow the instructions carefully. The sound quality remains amazing and most (if not all of above issues have been fixed via firmware updates. I upped this review to 5 stars. I highly recommend this item now. - Charlotte SchultzBest headsetI love this headset! My only complaint would be that the Bluetooth connection can’t be at the same time as the Xbox connection, but it is an easy switch or the button but I wish I could make calls while hearing the game. Super comfy ear cushions and it’s nice and light so it feels like nothing on. I didn’t know that it had noise cancellation when I got it but it is super nice I can’t hear anything other than what’s going through the speakers. I have an Xbox series X and the connection is super easy and I like that it doesn’t have to go into the controller instead on the console it’s self
- Alex FuentesPerfectThis Headset is absolutely flawless not only does it beat the previous three pairs of different headphones I’ve used on my Xbox from Sony to Skullcandy and another previous older model of the TurtleBeach Stealth series but the connectivity is flawless. There’s no lagging, there’s no disruption while gaming or doing other tasks on the console, I would strongly recommend for the price and the quality. It is absolutely worth it.
- Byron Perkinsheadset is good setup instructions and trouble shooting junk.Instruction are junk almost returned it because transmitter would not connect to Xbox series X had to plug headset and transmitter into Xbox before it would connect on the transmitter no fixes ether online just trial and error. instruction was put transmitter in Xbox and turn headset on then make sure it is set to wireless but no light on transmitter.

Great battery Life and really easy initial setup. You will probably need to run a firmware update though when unboxing.
They are pretty comfortable for longer periods and do a good job of blocking outside sound. They also work great as Bluetooth headphones for phone calls or meetings. Great compatibility.
