So, this is not my first USOGOOD product. I have become accustomed to the excellent products vs. the cost. These binoculars did not disappoint. The binoculars themselves are not only great, but they have the "feel" of a much higher quality. The adjustment is smooth and easy. The packaging is always great. And actually, there was more included with these than I expected. I tested them on a rainy, cloudy day and was still able to get very good vision in the distance. PLUS, this is the very first pair of binoculars that I have ever had that I can use with my glasses on!!! Due to the weather, I have not been able to test the included phone holder to take pictures through the binoculars, but I will do so soon and publish an update. Finally, and this is an extremely important issue with me. The customer service is excellent at the very least. The responses to questions are prompt, friendly and very thorough. I confidently recommend these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Binocular Kit
Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2024
I bought this set of binoculars to see more of our surroundings from our 7th floor apartment balcony in Hollywood, CA. This is the first pair of binoculars I've used since the 80s. These are nicer than what I remember looking through back then. I like that the eyes pop back so your eyelashes don't get in the way, or you can pop the eyes closer if you wear glasses. The focus was easy, and it magnified the neighborhood. I could read the ticker tape on the cnn building and look one block over into the front patio of the Elbow Room.

I wasn't expecting the full tripod / phone mount kit. I assembled the tripod and phone mount and was pleased to see the magnification worked well with my phone incase I wanted to film anything. I haven't tried the binoculars at night yet.

I'd recommend these binoculars for people wanting to try out a set of decent binoculars. The price seemed reasonable to me and I'm happy with the quality. They're pretty cool. They also come with a strap to hang the binoculars on your neck so you don't drop them.

As I'm not an optics enthusiast, I will not comment on the image quality, other than to say it is more than acceptable for the price point. Instead I want to highlight the excellent customer service I experienced.

After using these for about 5 months, I noticed the focus nob not operating the same as it had been, and shortly after that, the internals seemed to disconnect entirely from the nob. When the nob unscrewed, I saw that a bracket had broken away from a screw, and so the binoculars would no longer focus.

Even though it had been nearly half a year since my purchase, I thought "what the heck, I'll get in touch with the company and see if I get a response." I did, only a few days later. They requested my amazon order number and then a video detailing the issue. I sent those, and without any further questions the company sent a new replacement at ZERO cost to me, which I received within just a few days.

In their last communication with me, they asked, if I was satisfied with their after-sales service, would I share my good experience on Amazon? Of course, I thought.

When you purchase a top-tier product from a reliable company, you expect high quality in every way. When you buy an economical product from an unknown company, you leave the land of expectation and enter the land of hope.

Would I have preferred the binoculars to have more robust internals? Of course! But the next best thing is a company that stands behind their product and excels in customer support. That was my experience here.

I decided to compare these binoculars with ones I've owned for more than 10 years now: Bushnell 10 x 25.

I looked at 4 aspects
1) Magnification
2) Portability
3) Image clarity
4) Extra stuff

1) Magnification is usually the main reason for getting binoculars. Between the two (10x vs. 12x) I honestly will say not a lot of difference. Basically what I can see with the 12 power I could see with the 10 power. However, the 12x does make the image a little bigger so if detail is important (i.e. bird watching) then the 12x is for you.

2) Portability can be important depending on the purpose of the binoculars. The small Bushnell I use for general purpose hiking, where space in my pack is very important. But if space (or weight) is not a primary concern then the 12x is for you.

3) Image clarity importance is also based on purpose. I find, again, not a big difference between the 25mm and 50mm objective lens, but the difference IS a noticeable with the 50mm being a little brighter. The small binocs are great for general viewing but if you want to see details better, the 12x is for you.

4) Extra stuff may not be a deal breaker but it can count. The small binocs have a string neck strap that even with the light weight, can get annoying after a while. The strap with these binocs are soft and comfortable. Also, I really like how the lens caps can be attached to the binocs to avoid losing them. The phone adapter is a nice extra for those who like taking pictures. The tripod is useful too, though I found the legs to be 'loose' with no way to tighten the tension. This meant that the tripod had the legs splayed out at maximum, you couldn't move them inward to have the tripod stand higher (maybe I am missing a way to tighten them?).

Overall Thoughts. If you are looking for something very compact where space is a premium, something a little smaller with a lower magnification is probably your best bet. If you want something specifically for viewing as your objective (bird watching, whale watching, foliage admiring, etc), then these are perfect.

Final note: While these are 'bulkier' than the mini binocs I compared them with in my review, they are still small and compact compared to most other binoculars.
