I use this lens with an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II camera. I love it. I don't know if it is because of the camera, but I have not noticed any distortion issues with this lens.
This lens takes crisp pictures and is good in low light. Because it is 12mm, it can easily handle slow shutter speeds like 1/20 without camera shake.
They say this lens is not good at taking pictures of people. I have not found that to be true at all. People will be distorted if they are very close (within a few feet) or there can be distortion in a corner(s) of the photo when using less than around f8. If I have to use around f3 or 4, the lens is so wide that it is easy to keep subjects out of the corners. To avoid distortion with people, I try to allow at least nearly 8 ft. between myself and persons in the photo. And I never have a problem. The pictures do appear further away, but cropping will bring the persons closer and with more detail.
I have also found it very easy to take motion pictures with this manual lens. Of course, motion pictures require faster shutter speeds to avoid blurring. Focusing is never a problem with this lens. You can use the focus peaking or focus magnifier on the camera to make sure it is set. Focusing is far too easy to justify paying a lot more money for auto focus. I can set the focus on infinity and walk around snapping pictures (far and near) all day without even looking through the camera.
I am amazed at how much width this lens gives even when close up. This lens allows me to take nice pictures of people when I want to capture the background clearly, without the blurred bokeh effect. Group shots in tight spaces are a piece of cake with this lens.
This lens shines when capturing people in their environment. I always use this lens when the occasion requires me to take fast pictures on-the-go. For me, this lens is best for walk-around or street photography - any event that requires walking around. It is great for zoos, amusement parks, parties, festivals, museums, vacations, tours, close up environments, outdoor events, etc. It goes without saying, it is good for architecture, landscape, and astro-photography.

The lens attachment takes an initial twist to get it properly attached to the camera. It is no big deal, but a better adapter is needed.

I never used Rokinon/Samyang lenses before but this one was so highly recommended on various photo-forums that I decided to try it on my X-T10.
Build quality: very good. Solid and sturdy lens. No backlashes, shifts or anything similar. When you take and put on your camera you feel its quality.
Sharpness: extremely, crystal sharp even completely open.
Maximum aperture F2: forget about "low light condition"
Weight: It is light! It will not add load to you neck or shoulder.
Price: one third of direct competitor from Fujifilm

Resume: best value for money lens. Point.

The only "drawback" - it is manual. Means - no auto-focus. For somebody this can be a problem but if you have grown with old school manual lenses like I have, youг will not notice that.
I highly recommend this lens.

I use the Rokinon 12 mm lens on several Olympus micro-four thirds cameras. To be sure it is a bit different to have to set the aperture manually and allow the computer to set the shutter speed rather than turning the whole process over to silicon chips and firmware. In fact, it's a bit like photography was when I learned the craft. Which is to say that I think this so often complained about feature is no problem whatever, and probably a good teaching tool for those progressing from point 'n' shoot cameras to genuinely flexible ones. But you're probably more interested in how the lens performs...

I won't tell you that a Leica-made (not just badged) lens might not be a bit better, or that the Rokinon outperforms the Olympus-made optic. I can't say because I haven't had a chance to try those lenses in the real world. What I can say is that I carried the Rokinon 12mm f/2.0 on a recent trip to Israel and used it in fairly demanding situations: inside darkened buildings where the very fast glass was a heck of a help; in blazing sunlight where any flaw in color rendering would be obvious; and on gray days as well. The lens is sharp. I found it to be only a tiny bit soft in the corners at f/2.0 and sharpening up to a very high standard by f/4.0. I did not run quantitative tests, but certainly it was excellent by f/5.6. Given the focal length and the need to enlarge micro four thirds images twice as much as those from a full frame (meaning 24 X 36mm, the size of a classic 35mm film negative) sensor, I think it will be diffraction-limited by f/8.0 - f/11. Given the large depth of field stopped down even one stop, this should give nobody any trouble.

I was in a dark sky area and took a couple of not so successful (my fault; I'm learning the technique) astrophotographs. On short exposures the stars are rendered as sharp points, not outta focus blurs. A good sign.

Besides being sharp, a lens must be contrasty and resist flare. The Rokinon delivers on the contrast side of things very well. The included lens shade is very helpful in bright light, and really should be used all the time. I'm not a great fan of lens shades, but on a lens this wide they are useful.

I also shot a Leica M9-P with 35, 50 and 90mm lenses and several Olympus-made lenses on my Oly bodies. I can happily intermix shots from the Leica with shots from the Olympus lenses and pictures taken with the Rokinon in the same digital slide show with no apparent shifts in quality or color rendering.

The lens feels very solidly built, and is a pleasure in the hand. For its construction it is very light. I called Rokinon to ask how they did it. Simple: this lens was designed specifically for mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, will not cover the APS-C or full frame formats, and the lens mount ring (changed by the factory in S. Korea to accommodate several different cameras) and the rest of the optic are sized accordingly. So it's smaller and lighter than a lens to cover bigger formats!

Could you get better, sharper, even more contrasts photos with 12mm lenses that cost $600 or more. Sure. If you couldn't those companies would be out of business. But I don't shoot at 12mm?(equivalent of a 24mm lens on a full frame sensor) often enough to warrant the extra cost. Neither do I have magazines to sell to nor advertising clients to show off to.

By my standards this is a very favorable review. I did not receive a promotional lens nor any kind of incentive for writing it. I spent my own cash to buy the lens, and I am very pleased with it. If I took the price into consideration, I would give it five stars. If I just look at the lens and compare it with other 12mm lenses or 24mm on full frame, then it's a four star product because there are better lenses out there, but I have no need for them.
