    I strongly considered the Nikon Z7 ii, but in review after review, the D850 consistently beat the Z7 ii with its fast/controllable focus on difficult subjects such as birds in flight or in cluttered backgrounds. My D800 served me well in those situations and I couldn't see taking "a step backwards" with the Z7.

    Adorama supplied the camera bundle and they were faster on delivery than promised.

    This is a great product, but two pieces were not in the bundle as advertised. The 64 GB memory card, and the extra battery were not in the package. The extra memory card and extra battery shipped separately a couple of days.

    The camera showed up on time. I’m not sure about the little eyepiece in the description photo, I didn’t receive it unless it was already attached to the camera and I wasn’t aware. Probably not a huge deal though. It works good. I’m still figuring things out and learning how to use it right. But it’s definitely a great camera. If you’re considering this camera, make sure you buy from an authorized Nikon dealer and don’t buy grey market. You might save a few hundred bucks, but if something happens to break you will have a difficult time trying to get it fixed.

    The D850 is an excellent prosumer camera. With many of the features of its big brothers and sisters, it is less rugged but equally capable of capturing stunning images.
