This is a good lens in the image. Quality is fantastic. The build will maybe it could use some work because mine was stuck and needed Force to get it to adjust at first. Now is very smooth and works good but it snapped inside when I first tried freeing it from it s stuck position when I first got it. It's easy to use if you know how to use a manual focus lens. It fits any EF Mount. The pictures are clear.
I spoke with the manufacturer about this and they gave me a discount because of that problem with that lens. So it's all good.

Image quality is great and is a good investment for amateur photographers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Will not focus on anything further than 5ft away unless I stop it down all the way to f22.

Jokingly bad lens. Even at infinity, when trying to focus on stars at anything other than f22, the image comes out unusably blurry. Unironically the most abysmal lens I've had to displeasure of wasting 80 dollars on. It'll focus on stars just fine at f22, but at that point it's beyond useless. Also, it's smaller in diameter than the EF mount so you end up with light leak due to the gap between the lens and body. The focus ring is stiff, the aperture ring feels cheap and plasticy, it's all around just not a good lens. Not sure if I just got a dud, guess we'll see when my replacement arrives. As of right now, however, I can NOT recommend this lens to ANYONE who isn't trying to take portraits of people standing exactly ~4-5ft away. FWIW, if nothing else, this lens is mostly metal and feels substantial, just a shame it doesn't perform to that level (or at all really).

Bought this over a year ago and it’s helped me with a lot of portrait shoots . Took a minute to figure out manual use but once you get it , you can take awesome photos. Currently use on a canon t7. Don’t expect for the camera to pick up automatically. Use manual settings only. Definitely recommend for beginners

Well built lens feels heavy and sturdy.
No a professional photographer but pictures come out clear and lighting is good. For the pricey you can't beat it. Sharpness is nice the focus is good when you play around with it. I would recommend it for the pricey once again. I don't think it's like those 300-500 ones but does the job. Fits like a glove no issues

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing to learn with!

I LOVE this lens!! I feel like it is much more easier to adjust your aperture and your lighting on this lens since you have to manually turn the lens, vs doing it in your manual settings on your camera, since you can see it change real time looking through it. This lens does not zoom, so you do have to move a lot to get the shot you want, but it’s worth it for the price and quality. I have never used another lens except for the one my Canon Rebel T7 came with. If you do portrait photography, this will be a game changer for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Learning curve, but amazing!

This has become, by far, my favorite lens. When I get the focus right (very dry eyes) the pictures are some of the best I've taken. It took me a little bit to learn the settings without auto focus, but I don't regret it. Clear, crisp images with some of the best light balancing pre-editing.
