There are some things to like (so I give it 3 ***) but overall, it's a big disappointment. Whatever the actual magnification is, it certainly does not meet the specs shown. My 12 x 25 binoculars provide higher level of that. The clamp to attach the scope to a smartphone could be a great tool if it wasn't so flimsy. it can't support any weight and so flexes away from the lens once it's attached. I don't know if there is a perfect monocular phone scope but this sure is not it.
The coated lens provide a nice sharp, bright image with a slight distortion of vertical lines (barrel effect), and the package comes with a lot of accessories.
