5.0 out of 5 stars SO GOOD!!
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2024
I NEVER write reviews but this product made me want to write one. There’s many similar ones out there, but this is the one I bought. This was my first ever shoot with my fujifilm body, and bought this lens for it since my other new lens was backordered. In my mind this was a “temporary “ lens. But WOW this lens works great. No focus, fixed aperture, and it produces amazing photos! Keep in mind these are highly edited (and also grain added) but for $25 this will be used very often by me. It’s insanely convenient, and such a cool product. It looks like an Oreo! What else could you ask for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Okay this is DELIGHTFUL

1) This delivers exactly as promised. No focus, super deep depth of field, and a charismatically detuned image.
2) The EF-M Canon version looks like an Oreo. Not a little bit like an Oreo. It is very, very clearly designed to look like an Oreo and I don't get why that isn't a selling point.
3) It takes a little bit of work to get it there (buried in your mirrorless settings is an easy-to-miss setting that allows for shutter release without lens) - but once you're there this is as idiot proof as a lens can be.

I scored it low on autofocus because this... has not autofocus. There is no focus. I imagine this is a great way to get kids into photography as well, on that note.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than expected but not perfect!

The lens is perfect, and has a awesome look. Was a little tight to twist onto camera and you can hear plastic rattle on lens. Overall though for the price, its worth it. Picture shot on Lumix s5ii Unedited

1.0 out of 5 stars Not in Focus
Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2024
Received the lens, which took about a month to arrive, and upon trying out found that it was out of focus. The way it is designed the lens is about 1/8” to close to the sensor of the canon RF camera i have. The pacific one I got also has a permanent defect in the actual lens that shows up on the photos taken with it. Other versions of this may be fine but stay away from the current version of the RF model.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure nostalgia and delight!
Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2024
My favorite photography gadget I've ever bought! The colors are pure nostalgia. You will have to get used to NOT having a focus, my fingers still try to automatically adjust my focus. Two benefits I wasn't expecting, the lens makes my camera super thin, which I love. And you can hand your camera to anyone to snap pics, because it takes no special skills. It's basically a point and shoot. I haven't taken it off my camera since I got it. I mostly snap candid family photos and I think it's perfect for that.

I do change my settings to achieve the "90's disposable camera" effect. On Fuji I use Dynamic range 200%, Classic chrome, White balance daylight R1B-1, Color +2, Sharpness +2, Highlight tone +1, Shadow tone -2, noise reduction -2, shutter type MS + ES, shoot without lens must be on. I would start there and adjust to your own taste. This combined with the lens will give you the ultimate nostalgic feel.

3.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to focus but fun to play with
Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2024
I need more practice with this. Since it's all analog, there's no means by which to focus. You have to move forward or backward, but since you aren't looking through the lens on a mirrorless, it can be difficult to tell if you are in focus or not. My lens also popped out the first time I used it. I was able to pop it back in to the mount, but I have no idea if this affected the way it works or not. I love the dreamy, nostalgic feel this creates, but I just wish that I could get the images to be in focus.

5.0 out of 5 stars cheap, but fun
Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2024
it feels cheap, it is cheap, it's a very cheap lens. But that's exactly what's so fun about it. It gave new life to an old canon m2 I wasn't using anymore. It is a simple lens to use, and it gives a cool look to the photos I take with it. The only thing, maybe, is that it's better to use it outdoors, because it needs quite a bit of light. All in all, it's money well spent to be a bit creative and have some fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun lens for Canon M50 Mkii
Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2024
I haven't used it much yet. But I like the vintage look to the images! I definitely plan on using it more! I did have to go change a setting on the camera to take a picture without a lens. But that had nothing to do with the product. The lens works great for what it is!
