Beautiful Photos Thanks To This Lens!

I decided to purchase this lens a few days before we left for our Tennessee vacation in case we saw any bears. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any on our trip and I used my main lens most of the time so I wasn’t sure how much this lens would get used. Let me tell you… I just purchased a new Nikon camera and am having a hard time letting go of Canon because of this lens specifically! I have so much fun shooting all of the wildlife around our house that I bust this lens out almost every day. I did a photo shoot with my son on the beach for Earth Day this year, and in order to get all of the elements I wanted in the photos, I needed quite a bit of distance between us but using a 50mm lens would not have produced the images I wanted after being cropped and cut. This lens is purely amazing, and I think everyone should have it!

Beautiful lens for the money. However it's a good thing my camera has image stabilization. Love the lens though.

I got this for my wife as one of her Christmas presents, and it’s just been a joy watching her get her tripod out and zoom in on the birds in the yard and take pics. It does a really good job and for the price point I don’t think it can be beat.

Save the money for the 400mm

It's a good lense. Pretty good autofocus speeds. Fairly clear and sharp. And it might be the perfect zoom for you... But it needs a little more for me. I'm either going to get a 1.4X or 2X extender... Unless I can find a really good deal on a 100-400mm lense. Wish I could get my money back on this to put towards a better lense.

This is a nice lens. I do have to watch my controls with this one because it doesn't always seem to link up to the camera. I am inexperienced with using longer lenses so this may be something I have to learn with the camera and not necessarily a concern with the lens itself.

If you're like me who's only ever had access to a typical 17-85mm lens, this will change your photo taking game. While you do have to adjust for the added weight (blurry photos of not steady/tripod-ed), it's so easy to just sit in one space & be able to focus on objects/animals close to 50 ft away.
