5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Travel Digital Camera
Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2023
Bought this camera for a simple camera to use while traveling when I didn't want to take my huge Panasonic camera but still wanted a camera that wasn't on my phone, for safety purposes and also the anxiety of possibly losing or dropping my phone (either off high places, overboard, etc.). Many people say that it isn't worth it, and with the development of quality in phone cameras, why even bother buying a digital one that provides less quality photos than that of your phone, that almost everyone has and carries with them at all times? I personally like having a compact, portable camera that is less of an investment than an expensive smart phone in the case it gets stolen, dropped, damaged, etc. This in itself is an appeal for me to purchase a digital camera to use instead of my iPhone. It was a great alternative to my phone, allowing me to keep my phone tucked away in a pocket or a bag, while still being able to take photographs while on my trips. I really liked the red color offered, as I try to buy everything red. The camera itself is compact and portable, it was super easy to conceal and travel with, adding little weight to my travel bags. The camera is very easy to use, allowing different shooting settings, zoom, and even video recordings. The battery lasts quite a while too, but I bought secondary batteries just in case. I also really appreciate the fact the camera utilizes a rechargeable battery, so you can charge it on trips when you have a break and you don't have to be constantly carrying a set of AAs. The picture quality itself is high, in my personal opinion, really good for the price that you're paying and the compactness of the camera. The video quality could be better, but is decent for the size and price of the camera. If you're zooming in a lot, the video quality is obviously compensated, and the audio quality in videos isn't the best, but. You get what you pay for, and in this case, you actually get better. It's well worth the money, providing video-recording abilities and high quality photographs. I highly recommend this camera for anybody looking for a camera for the same purposes as I. It's well worth the money and has exceeded my expectations in performance. It would also be a great starter camera for someone looking for a simple point-and-shoot camera, or for adolescents looking to get into the camera/photography community. Obviously if you're a professional photographer, I wouldn't recommend this camera, but I doubt anybody professional is looking to take high-quality, professional photographs with a simple point-and-shoot camera. For the price, quality, and performance, this camera is well worth the money, and I highly recommend it!(:

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for simple, everyday use

I’ve been using this camera for a couple months now and I’ve loved it for the most part!

Some instances where I’ve had trouble with it is in a concert venue, overly bright sunlight, or in a situation with too much motion. I also haven’t been too impressed with the video quality, but I primarily use it for photo taking anyways, so that’s not such a big deal for me personally. However, for capturing a trip or pictures with friends, it’s perfect. It’s made simple pictures a lot more fun to take.

I’ve been carrying this around in my bag pretty much every day, so it’s super easy to tote with you. With primarily using the Program AE mode and keeping flash on, the photos have come out accurate in color, detail, etc for the most part. I’ll edit some pictures after taking them, but there’s been times where I really just prefer it as the camera took it (or with very light adjusting) because they turned out so well.

If you want something practical to carry around for everyday use, this works pretty great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Did you know Kodak is the best selling camera brand in Japan?
Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2024
This is one of the reasons why.

No one makes point and shoot cameras any more.

A group called JKImaging took up the torch and licensed the Kodak name, and contacted the manufacturers who made the Kodak cameras and struck a deal. They were making Japanese name brand cameras under license as well.

I wanted a pocket point and shoot I could stuff in a pocket and take for a bike ride. I have a lot of cameras but wasn't about to pack them up on a bouncy mountain bike.

I tried a couple others but they just didn't fit the bill. So let's look for a brand name with a reputation.
No Nikons. No Canons. No Fujis. Let's try Kodak

This thing is loaded with features, has a good lens and a more than adequate sensor. Auto mode is really good, program mode is very good, and manual is everything you want.

The others washed out on telephoto photos, low-light photos. and landscapes. They were good for close up snapshots, and had good features, but I wanted more.

    For $100 I got it.

For serious photos it's not going to replace my Nikons or my Fujis, but far more than adequate to stuff in a pocket and go. Beginners can use Auto or Program and get good shots, and as they learn more can go to Manual and set whatever they want.

My one complaint is the preview in Manual doesn't give an adequate representation of the resulting photo. Ten years ago i had a pocket Olympus that would. Except for that one detail, this is as good as that, and I took some great photos with that camera.

The photos are unretouched except for resizing. All straight from the camera. One is Auto, One is Program, and the others are Manual.

I'm a "Semi-Amateur" photographer. I take photos mostly for my own gratification, but I've had Galleries, sold a few, and a few that were published. I know what I want my photos to look like, and I can get it with this camera. Sometimes the definition isn't as good as my DSLRs, but then, I didn't pay 30 times what this cost.

    Very good little camera.

Good compact camera for everyday use. The 16MP CMOS sensor delivers sharp, vibrant images, and the 5X optical zoom is great for capturing details from a distance. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and perfect for travel or casual photography. The 28mm wide-angle lens is a bonus for group shots or scenic views. Good value for the price and an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, no-fuss cam
