Purchased to store a car battery jump starter in my truck. The case is heavy duty and waterproof! And the orange color makes it easier to locate both when stored in truck and outside when using so it isn’t left behind. And eggshell foam pad is glued to the inside lid and a half inch moveable foam insert and larger cubed foam insert is also included for maximum protection for items you are storing.

The design of this case is nice and solid. Obviously I have not tested it for impact, but it looks like it can handle quite a beating. The waterproof seal looks good, and it even comes with a pressure equalizing valve. The pick-it foam was easy to customize for storing a variety of telescope eyepieces.

The reason for dropping a star is that the lid is heavier than the bottom of the case. That means the case will not lay flat when the lid is open, but instead will tilt back unto the lid. This is true even when loaded with a variety of eye pieces and a barlowe. If you use the case for heavier equipment, it may not be an issue.

I needed a substantial foam padded case for my battery jump starter to carry in a hybrid car. This one worked out very well and everything fit inside nicely and is now protected from any possible impact or loss of parts.

Seemed like a decent storage box ( far less expensive than the one I would usually purchase) .

This a a good box but there are some concerns about it truely being IP67 compliant. While I am certain that it is dust proof I doubt that it would last being submurged 1 meter for 30 minutes without being compromised. Take a look at pictures one and three and you will see what I see. There is a sizable gap in the back of the box that lines up with the butt joint of the water resistant stripping seam which does not overlap like can be found in name brand boxes like the P1170. Luckily for me, I did not really need this to be water tight as it contains a portable recharging battery and connection cords and I am not taking this swimming, boating and I don't live in a flood plain. That is the bad of the item. It is a little less than 1/2 the price of the comparable name brand version and it will do everything that I need it to do. So as far as value is concerned, I am fine with this.
