5.0 out of 5 stars LIFESAVER+EASY TO RECEIVE/INSTALL/USE!
Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2020
I ordered this last minute due to my primary phone dying unexpectedly. This 3-in-1 SIM kit was affordable ($6) and arrived in 36 hours! (thanks Amazon!) It came with 3 different carrier-card options and I chose the "Verizon" card/chip for my Tracfone Smartphone LG Rebel. *Note: my LG was only a year old but EVERYTHING about it had expired: SIM chip, minutes AND phone number--so I had to start over with it on the FLY!...and it all starts with this SIM card/chip so I was HAPPY to receive it* The SIM chip came off the card easily and I replaced the expired one in the phone. I got online at the Tracfone website and initiated a CHAT with a Representative. With their help...and a few attempts to activate it (3)...my phone was activated with a new number and minutes (FYI-I already bought at Dollar General the day before)...and I was ready to go! I was SO happy because I had been without a phone for 3 VERY long days! I used this Tracfone for 2 weeks until I had the time to replace it with a primary phone.
Moral of the story: this was affordable and fast...easy to install...phone/SIM/minutes all worked PERFECTLY for my simple needs when I needed it! AAAAA+++++Thanks Tracfone...kudos for helping me out!! :) KCJ, Nashville, TN

5.0 out of 5 stars Sim Card Kit is fine - Tracfone is another story

This 3 in 1 Tracfone Sim Card Kit is fine but it took multiple calls to Tracfone over a two week period to finally get the phone I wanted to use with Tracfone activated. At one point, they told me none of the SIm cards in the kit would work and they mailed me at no cost one that would. When it arrived, I installed it and called Tracfone to activate and the rep told me it was the wrong Sim card and had me reinstall one from the kit.

The phone I was trying to activate was a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S7 and Tracfone kept telling me that in order to activate it, I needed to give them the 4-digit security code of the previous owner. After about a dozen calls, I figured out the problem was that the phone had previously been a "lease to own" phone and was 8 months into a 2-year contract. I returned that phone to the ebay seller and bought another refurbished Samsung Galaxy 7 and when it arrived, I called Tracfone and 28 minutes later, the phone was activated using one of the Sim cards from the kit.

So, this Sim card kit is fine and I paid Amazon 99 cents for it getting free, 1-day shipping, and it will probably be fine in 99% of the cases, but when there is a problem, Tracfone's Customer Service is not equipped to track down the problem. I was the one who figured out what the cause here was not them.

It was a simple process…. I just had to call Tracfone with the numbers, and they did the rest…..just make sure you get the right card for your phone. Tracfone told me what to purchase when transferring my phone number from an Android to an iPhone. I ordered this, then called them back once I received it and they took care of the transfer. It was easy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not an easy process

I like TracFone and have had it for 1 year for my 13 year old son. It all ran very smooth until he accidentally washed his phone in his shorts pocket. Unable to revive the TracFone I bought a bring your own phone package to transfer his minutes and texts to another phone. This did not go smooth, the minutes did transfer after much work and calls put in to tec support but none of the texts or data did. He is unable to text or get any data on the phone. I think the TracFone service works best on their own phones, we ran into trouble when we tried to use a different phone not from them. I am letting him use down some of the minutes and I'll probably another phone from their company because for a light use phone it's by far the best price!

Update: I got it fixed, I had to do a factory reset on phone. Lots of trouble but possibly the phone was also giving us problems. It is working smoothly now and I still think TracFone is the best value for the money although they have changed their packages. It seems like you get more minutes but you have to refill more often now. I liked the 90 plans but it seems like their fasing them out. Still cheaper than other carriers in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked for what we needed.

We got the triple punch SIM. I don't know how that is different from the other SIM options, but it was $1 and the others were more expensive at the time. Inside there were 3 credit card sized SIM cards. One for T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon. You had to punch out the card to match the size you needed. Luckily we needed the nano size which is the smallest one. The card punched out a little too easily so I don't know if it would have worked for the bigger sizes.
The SIM card itself worked great. I liked how there was a number on the credit card sized version and under it, it said, this is not your SIM card number. It was easy to see how people could want to use that number, and nice that they warned you it wasn't the right one. The right one was in the middle of the card. I still don't know what the other number was for.
We used it to activate a new Bring Your Own Phone (the Moto G5) on Tracfone. We did it online and it was really easy. Just enter in the right SIM number. No problems at all and everything was switched within minutes.
