I had a few concerns prior to purchasing the card. But, the Amazon community responded kindly and I decided to buy the SIM card. Here were my concerns, and what actually happened.

1. Does the 30d period start from date of purchase or activation? Date of activation. I didn't activate the card for more than a month after purchase.
2. I would be in Canada 2 days. Could I activate the card a day ahead of that? Yes. I got online, started an account a week ahead and I set the activation day for one day before the day I would be in Canada. At 3:30am of the activation day, I received the Canadian phone number from Phone Box. Once I crossed the border, I took out the US SIM card and put in the Canada (PhoneBox) one.
3. Will I mess up removing the old SIM card and inserting the Canada one? It was very, very simple and took about 15 minutes. Half of that was removing my Otter Box. I did have to reboot/restart the phone twice for full activation, but it worked! I just put the US SIM into the envelope that had held the Canada one and stowed it for my return.
4. Will I only have data? Or, will I be able to make calls and send text messages too? I could make and receive calls and text messages to/from the States. My phone apps worked flawlessly, without WiFi, using only 0.5Gb of data during my stay.
5. Will I be able to put my old SIM card back in when back in the States. And, would it work? It was easy to put the US SIM card back in too. Had to restart the phone twice again and it worked. This time I did it out of the trunk of my motorcycle at a US gas station. It took about 15 minutes total.
6. Would the Canada SIM work in the US once back? It worked for about 5 miles into the US, but then no coverage. This was exactly as anticipated.

The network was Rogers and I had 5G coverage the whole way. I even rode the ferry and had a strong enough signal for all my needs during the two hour trip. This card did more than I expected and I will certainly be purchasing again for my next Canada trip.

No signal SIM

When I traveled into CANADA, I set SIM card.
and try activate then Restart.
But SIM doesn't work in my iPhone 12.
Signal sign was "Only SOS call"
And I tried to Restart 3 more time. And need somewhere Free Wi-Fi for activate.
I got upset for setting during travel at Train station.
This SIM is not worth the price.
I ended up using my iphone looking for only free wifi.

But today Sunday morning I left from Canada already. I arrived back to USA.
I couldn’t use SIM card almost.
It’s BIG mistake to buy SIM.

*CAUTION FOR EVERYBODY
Important: Travel SIM have to start when set into phone. And must smart and work quickly.
SIM was remain deep in the trouble it’s most damaged for user.

After reading a number of the reviews here, I was a bit concerned about whether the SIM card would work when I arrived in Quebec for a 2-week trip. I would be heavily dependent on it, and there's no way to test it beforehand.

I went to the PhoneBox web site, created an account, entered my SIM number, and entered the date I wanted the SIM card activated. While waiting to board the first leg of my flight (and still in the US), I received an email from PhoneBox saying that my SIM was ready to go and giving me my Canadian phone number.

I waited until I arrived in Montreal, found a space in which I could work, and inserted the SIM card. The phone connected immediately and without problems. PhoneBox uses the Rogers network. I received texts from both Rogers (how to set up voicemail) and PhoneBox (how to manage my account or ask for help).

During my trip, I traveled as far as Tadoussac. I had great connectivity almost everywhere except at a few national parks where it was pretty clear that no one had Wifi.

I didn't use my phone for video--it was mostly for maps, information, and keeping in touch with my various AirBnb hosts. In two weeks, I used 1.22 GB out of 8 total, so I could have made more extensive use of my bandwidth than I actually did.

It was exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for.

We activated the card in US. We got to Canada and it wasn't working at all.
We found the Rogers cell phone store. Their towers are used by the sim card in Canada but it is not Rogers sim card. They were very helpful in thorough checking - the sim card was the faulty one. They let us use their store phone to contact the customer service of this card. The connection was fast and the lady customer service representative worked hard to resolve the issue. She ended up issuing a new sim card through the Rogers store and getting us a new phone number. All this took over an hour. The phone worked with no problems afterwards - internet included. We noticed people either love these cards or hate them. Perhaps some of them do not work to start with like the one we received and the good ones work well...

I bought this for a last minute trip to Toronto coming from the United States as my phone carrier does not work out of the country. Was able to insert and active sim once in Canada, just make sure you restart your phone after setting up. I had access to Internet and calling service, I would have been lost without this.

The SIMS card worked and was easy to set up, use and track data use throughout my trip.

I bought the SIMS card for a 14 day trip to Quebec Province, Canada. Once I received the SIMS card I I activated it by either putting the SIMS card in my phone or online; I tried both methods and one of them worked, but can't recall which one. I set the start date for 3 days before my trip. On the set date I was emailed the Canadian phone number for the SIMS card. I used the phone number then to create an account on PhoneBox. I also sent my friends my phone number who were able to text me during my trip.

When my flight landed in Quebec I replaced my phone's SIMS card with the PhoneBox card and my phone immediately was connected to cell network. I used my account to check on my data use throughout my trip. When it looked like I would reach my limit before my trip ended I added another 1GB of data. It all worked perfectly.
